Age: 13
Gender: Male
District/Area: District 7
Appearance:
Hunter has shaggy wild dirty blonde hair that seems to never come off of his eyes, he trims it using his pocket knife to keep it at a reasonable length of to his neck. Hunter has eyes that almost look like small jades, but his left eye has an odd streak of brown. Considered an average height for any person his age; 5'4". He has a long scar going right by his eye, which he has gotten from a wolf attack. He has pale skin, that barely darkens in summer, and gets even whiter within winter. Hunter is normally seen wearing a ripped tank top and shorts, and either sneakers or short boots. He always wears a small silver locket around his necklace containing his brothers' faces and his father's.Personality:
Though during the reaping he has a totally different look. He wears a button down grey long sleeved shirt with black slacks. With long blank pants, and white dress shoes. Normally his mother tries to comb out his hair during the reaping, but usually once he gets in line it puffs back out. On his mother's good days he would as well wear a small bow of virtually any color she happens to have at that time.
Hunter is much like his friend Scout; he is normally considered someone who goes with the flow. But a lot he goes distant and stares off for long periods of time, draining anyone else out. At points like this, it is almost hard to reach him. His mom calls this 'the sinking', since he curls up into the a tight ball and stares off. Other times he'll start to cry randomly, remembering what had happened to his brothers and his father.History:
Despite the times when he gets shy and distant, he can be an open guy who tries to talk to everyone. Hunter's main goal seems to be to make sure no one else has the same happening to them. He always tries to laugh at everyone's jokes, but sometimes he can't distinguish jokes and serious things. Whenever he feels nervous he kinda tries to block the world out and runs off. He mainly seems effected when he he hears people talking about their families, for the reason that all he has is his mom now.
When he is around Twill, West, Alice, and Scout he acts like almost a different person. He is actually more open to them than to anyone else, not including his mother. Hunter would always try to crack jokes to pass the time, and invent crazy fantasies and games. He would be virtually an energetic time bomb, ready to explode in laughter whenever. Hunter even helped them build a 'fort' in the posy field they always stayed in.
He had a great childhood in the start, before he and his brothers ventured out to far into the woods when he was eight. His father was too late by the time he got there, all of them were killed by a wolf pack except Hunter because he was hiding in a tree. Hunter tried to warn his father the pack was still in the area, but fate gave his father as well a gruesome end. So Hunter had to sit in the trees for hours, only able to watch the wolves eat his family members. Eventually a group of people carrying axes rescued him from the wolves. Hunter didn't speak for two years.Codeword: oDair
When he met Scout, he was still 'mute'. But seeing she as well had suffered, they slowly bonde despite she never knew his name because he could seldom talk. Then for the first time in two years he spoke, and Scout finally knew his name. Since then all they could do was play in the small but expanding posy field. Eventually Hunter met other Tweens from district seven that seemed as well emotionally depressed. So they had a little quintet.
Hunter's mom as well was shocked by their deaths, but she grew out of it quicker knowing she had to take care of her son still. Hunter and his mom always had a strong bond being that they were the only two in their family left.
Before Hunter had met Scout, he had seen her mother at the hanging. Just feeling a sense of loss, and he always wondered why that poor woman was hanged. But he never had the guts to ask Scout why she was hanged, since he didn't want to bring back her sad memories.
