Jasper Hemlock [District Seven, Lumber]

~Eyes the hue of summered oak, and lengthened hair to his ears in a charcoal black tone; Jasper is Sixteen years young, his eyes are of his father which was passed down from each generation, but most of his other features are consistent from his mother's unique appearance such as her facial structure, though a tough bodily build. But his hair is a combination of his parents, being straight and free flowed like his father, but dark and naturally spiky like his mother.

Being tall like his father, which is nearly Six-feet tall, he is narrowly structured like his mother. But from there he is his own person, having tamed arm strength from labor work with logs, heavy tools, and climbing which show in his stiff biceps and shoulders. As well as his overall upper body strength from his work, he is also exceptionally thin for being so strong. His legs are long so he gets more from a single step, and his legs have been worked just as much as his arms so he is at least averagely fast.~

~Jasper is calm and collected, but very shy. He has a way with words when he feels comfortable, but he is terrible with new encounters, tending to keep to himself for the most part, not speaking unless spoken to, depending on the situation. Rarely raising his voice unless urgency is at-hand, dealing with his problems head-on but with caution. Jasper is not arrogant, and knows his odds without having to test them.

He is also very observant, being very perceptive and paying attention to as many details about as much as possible, and having a very good memory. He has many memories of even his childhood as far back as the age of Five, but of course he wasn't so technical in those days so it isn't as if he knows all he did then on the spot. But that does not fault to his remembrance in an up to date situation, knowing when things he previously viewed has been altered and just how it and/or everything was changed.

Jasper is especially creative, being excellently skilled in woodwork and making useful contraptions according to the requirements. He mostly makes complex traps to catch small animals such as beavers who in the late hours attempt to hoard away with their lumber. He even has successfully created snares to capture and halt the progress of larger animals such as bears and wolves with hogtie systems, knowing a large variety knots, ties, tangles and rigs.~

~Jasper Hemlock is the Second Oldest of Four Children, and is the only male out of his household other than his father, who works in the Hardwork of Lumber such as heavy-lifting and the displacement of trees, and his mother works in the Lightwork of Lumber which is the catering and planting of new trees, involving no specific mass-carrying or harsh care to the trees. This is a job mostly suited for the elderly, and those incapable of intense work.

His older sister is Nineteen Years Old, named Hailee, and she works with her mother in the Lightwork of Lumber. His younger sister is Eleven Years Old, named Darcy, with no occupation thus far. His youngest sister is Six Years Old, named Maple, of course being too young for any form of work, but interesting enough Maple shares the same birthday with Jasper.

Most of Jasper's friends consist of the children of other Hardwork of Lumber, considering that most who work in the Lightwork of Lumber either don't have children, or are so old that their children are about the same age as his parents'.

His most common group of friends who are; Jack & Tohm, male identical twins who look so alike, but act so differently in most ways. They met Jasper when he first started at first in Lightwork at the age of Twelve, the twins were Fifteen. They were also his mentors into his training for joining Hardwork when he turned Fourteen.

Jasper also met a girl named Abbi in Lightwork, they are the same age. She is who tutored him in his first year of Lightwork also, until his mother took over his training in the following year until he joined Hardwork of Lumber later. Abbi is so close to Jasper yet so far away, because they are a lot alike which makes them both shy and quiet.

Lastly Jasper met his closest friend Woodrow in school before ever joining any form of work. The two barely spoke during class, but each day after school spent a lot of time hanging out and just talking about anything. Woodrow is the youngest of his siblings with Two older sisters, so in Jasper having nothing but siblings of the opposite sex as well, they both provide a brotherly friendship for one another. Woodrow and Jasper both work as apprentices under their own fathers in Hardwork of Lumber.

Jasper was taught by his Grandfather who works now in the Lightwork on how to tie knots and simple snares. He was also taught how to make a trapbox which was used commonly throughout District Seven to catch smaller animals. It would take too much work to make a box large enough to capture larger wildlife, and most were too destructive or smart to be caught. That is why they used forms of lasso's and hogties on larger and more dangerous creatures.

Jasper is rather skilled with an Axe, using his gained-strength to chop into and through trees affectively. He has used many forms of other blades such as Saws and Swords; specifically Jagged-bladed Saws and Machetes which are used to finely cut through or debranch Trees, Logs and more.~
