Appearance:

River has jet black hair and and dark blue eyes. Her lips are nicely rounded. Her skin is rather pale for someone like her, being in District 9 and being outside so much. Her hair is wavy and reaches just past her shoulders. She also has rather nice clothes for a resident of District 9.

Compared to other people her age, she is rather small. She is about 5'3 and weighs about 110 pounds. River is also a rather skinny girl. Her eyebrows are dark and don't always seem to go with her facial expression.

Personality:

River is not one to be forgiving. She has loads of self-confidence and normally keeps to herself. River is easily angered and has a rather bad temper. Even though she isn't in a career district, she would always be willing to be a fighter. She even hopes to eventually be picked for the Hunger Games, in order to bring some pride to District 9.

There are few people she gets along with, those being her family (for the most part), and people who listen to her- or at least support a good arguement. River can be rather selfish at times as well. She is also a major procrastinator. Despite her many flaws, quite a few boys are attracted to her. River trys her best to keep to herself but always ends up fighting.

River is suprisingly an open minded person. She will take into thought what others have said, but normally, her opinion seems to overpower it. River is a rather rebellious person, but can be trusted by a few people, generally those that appeal to her. River is often able to hide her soft side, which is only brought out by those who she really likes. Not even her family seems to be able to connect to her very well.

History:

Some of the only people that River is close to are her family members. She lives with her father, where as her mother passed away when she was 4. Seeing as though River didn't know her very well, this doesn't seem to have affected her as much. She also has two brothers, one twin, and one younger, Rage and Trident. Rage is 14 and Trident, her twin, is 18.

River only really hangs out with Trident and Rage, whereas she doesn't have very many friends that she ever gets to see. Trident seems to be the only one able to calm her down other than anyone she has strong feelings for. On a daily basis she tends to go down to the park when Trident has to work in the factories. Normally she and Rage just sit together, letting the day pass by. The Styx family has quite a lot of money, due to the fact that the father owns a metalworking factory.

Other than visiting the park, River likes to generally just walk through the streets, ocassionally visiting Trident and her father in the factory. Sometimes she'll go down to the shops and browse, ocassionally buying things for the heck of it, or just because she thinks she might need or want it later. Her favorite thing that she has bought is a woven bracelet. She wears it almost all the time. River often recieves complements on it. River, not being one to generally pay attention to people, tends to spend her time at home lounging around.
