Appearance:
They say that the eyes are the windows to your soul… This is how Diana studies strangers. She always looks through the eyes that reflect the personality of the person she is talking. She owns a pair of green eyes that resemble the wild and nature since district 9 used to be a place for hunters and huntress. Her hair is quite long, color brown, and it reaches to her elbow but she just ties it up into a high pony tail to show off her features. Sometimes she braids it or twists it into a bun. Her lips are quite pouty and are naturally colour pink, her brows have high arch, and she owns two small dimples when smiling. Her skin colour is fair, and her fingers are slender perfect for music instruments and in one look everyone simply knows it’s a hand of a huntress. She is 5’’4’’ tall and is 120 lbs. Her mother lets her wear dress but she doesn’t like wearing dresses, she only wears one during reaping. She loves to wear comfortable v-neck shirts and jeans. She looks naturally beautiful without putting cosmetics (though she can’t afford one).Personality:
Since hunting is forbidden, Diana practices her skills through running around (this is something for the reaping in case she is picked up) she’s a fast runner (her mom always call her to run around errands), she’s good in hiding and she’s a natural huntress herself like her dad who passed away.
Her flaws/weakness is hand in hand combat. she’s more of a far encounter in terms of fighting. She hates to be lied at because she’s not a good liar herself but she can control her feelings.
Diana is quite hard headed, her mom tells her to behave if she doesn’t want to become an Avox, she expresses her feelings to her mom about the Capitol but her mom just dismisses her, she’s brave and courageous but she keeps her mouth shut outside home so peacekeepers won’t hunt her down for being quite rebelling in her own ways. She goes to school but she never lets the school brainwash her. She just agrees but deep down in her heart she has her own ways.History:
Diana sneaks out during late nights but not the forest, she don’t want to bet her whole life to become silent. She just sneaks out of her home somewhere between the walls of the forest and the district; she just sits there and watches the stars above the sky. Hoping one day everything changes and she hopes that she won’t be picked out for the reaping.
Diana is adventurous, not like usual girls who are timid and shy. She’s strong, a fighter, and independent. Which her mom fears. But what’s good about her is she can control herself. She’s persuasive with her wits to the point she has befriended some people who runs some factories and she trades in with different products.
Diana Selena was born in an average family where they can still afford to eat two times a day if they gets lucky then 3 times a day, her father died during a hunt one day and she was just 5 years old. Her mother works in a cosmetics factory where scientist for experts in herbs and such produces hair gels, dyes, and other sorts of beauty cosmetics that is sent to the capitol. After years later, her sister ran away from home and became a wanderer. Her mom hopes that her daughter would be safe, if ever the Capitol sees her she would wish her daughter would just die than become an Avox for life. This Is why her mom always reprimands Diana with her actions because she doesn’t want to lose another daughter.Codeword: Odair
Diana is a sly girl, she’s as sneaky as a cat, but she doesn’t rob from anyone else. She’s as soundless as a cat that’s why she can sneak around without being caught, but she never uses that asset to run off to the forest and hunt even though she badly wants too. But Diana wishes to her lucky star every night that one day she’ll be able to see her sister again and she couldn’t wait for that day to come.
During everyday life, Diana is witty and she is known in the factory where her mom works because she is entitled as the errand girl, she’s always asked for favors to run here to there to deliver parchments and letters and such. Through this work she becomes known to some factories such as the soap, the bakery, the jeweller, and the herbal factory. She also knows some peacekeepers that she exchanges deals with for money.
Every year of hunger games season she wouldn’t watch the show that is broadcasted everywhere. She would tell her mom it was ridiculous to pick out people in each district and watch them kill each other just like toys in a game. Her mom would shush her often though she’s got a point there but it’s how life is in the districts so mere words can’t do anything but just make the scenario worst.
If her mother tells her they can’t afford to have breakfast the next day, Diana would act immediately. She would run off to people she knows and get some trading to do. She would earn few coins that can be enough for bread.
>A day of her life<
“Diana, I’m off to work today.” Her mom would say every morning.
Diana ran down the stairs, banging each of the wooden steps. “Do you need me later?”
Her mother raised her brow. “A lady doesn’t run off the stairs like that. You don’t bang the stairs do you?”
Diana sighs. Lady lady… there’s no more time to become a proper and etiquette lady, that only happens in district 1 or 2. Diana looks at her mom who resembles her, like an older version of her except for the pair of dimples and ears.
Her mom sighed. “Drop by later. Maybe we will need you for something.”
Diana nodded. Happy that she won’t be going out early today.
“But do not do anything foolish. I don’t expect you to vanish and be taken by the Capitol.” Her mom said.
Diana smiled. “Don’t worry I won’t.” Her mom hugged her tight and kissed her in the forehead, and then she disappears to the door.
Diana went to the window and watched her mom go. She ran up the stairs to change clothes. She threw the green dress she was wearing, not fully aware she covered Pine-nut their pet squirrel. “Whoops sorry.” She told her squirrel. “Don’t you squint at me like that, you’re lucky I saved you from that fire the night I was sneaking out. I’ll go out and get some food for the day. If you behave I’ll bring you some wild nut, if ever I’ll find one.” Diana tied her hair. As much as possible she wanted to avoid mirrors, she gets too conscious about herself. She isn’t like other girls who are pretty in the simplest ways, who wears ribbons or so, but still she doesn’t care. All she cares about is her mom.
Diana went off. She walked cautiously outside, she watches some kids run around innocently. She felt bad about them that when they grow they’ll experience something bad that lies ahead them. It’s one reason she doesn’t want to have kids of her own. They’ll just be like everyone else. Lucky if you’re not picked during reaping but may the odds be ever in your favor if you are. She head towards the jewel factory passing by few peacekeepers.
"Hmm…" She walks in and looks for someone.
“Diana!” a man said from a corner.
Diana glanced sideways. “Mr. Bleek. How are you?” she went closer.
Mr. Bleek is the owner of the factory that makes gems and other precious stones into jewelry. Suddenly as he examines a gem in his hands. He whispered softly. “How’s my cat girl doing? Do you have some errands today?”
Diana shook her head. Mr. Bleek cleared his throat. He stood up and made a gesture to Diana to follow him. They went to another section of the factory where metals and ores are being melted. So it’s quite noisy inside. Mr. Bleek took out something from his dirty apron. A letter. “Here. Bring this to the pharmacy, give it to the messenger boy, and he will give you a parchment in exchange then bring it back to me.”
Diana smiled and nod. “okay.”
Mr. Bleek giggled. “Later, I’ll reward you for your efforts.”
Diana tucked her loose hair behind her ear. She walked gracefully out of the factory like nothing happened. She stared at the sky that was cloudy and dim, hope it does not rain. "Whew… I guess I need to get my errands done before lunch."
