Abryl Simms District 7

Abryl is tall and muscular from long days at work. She has a narrow waist and curvy hips and chest that she inherited from her mother. There isn't much fat on her because she works almost ten hours a day outside. Because of this, she has a starved, hungry appearance about her and that turns people away from her. Abryl has long, slender fingers and rough, calused hands from using an axe so often. Finally, she has a dark broze skin color from working out in the sun so long.

Abryl has a narrow, but soft face. Her cheeks are rounded and smooth and are often pink from hard work. She has lovely, almond shaped eyes that are such a dark blue, they often appear black. Her lips are a pale pink, almost blush colored, and her teeth are straight and white. Her hair is extremely long, almost to the middle of her back, and extremely curly. She also inherited her curly hair from her mother.

Abryl is considered very pretty by many people in her district, and frightening by others. It is a natural kind of beauty, and she doesn't really have to try when it comes to her appearance. However, the combination of her dark eyes and starved appearance cause people to keep their distance from her. Often it makes her look angry or dark.

Abryl has a very strong, determined personality. She likes to get the job done, and will use whatever means necissary to do this. Abryl is also very self confident, not cocky, but she is sure of her own abilities. She can scare some people away by her determinedness, and many people are wary of her. Not only is she mentally strong, but she is also phsyically strong from hard work. Together, these two things often cause her to be imposing to certain people.

This thoughness makes it extremely difficult for people to get to know Abryl. She can be curt and rude and appears unkind to strangers because she has such a firey personality. Only once you get to know her (which will take lots of determination and patience) can you feel comfortable around her. Also, she doesn't have very good social skills

However, even though Abryl appears to be a bit rough on the edges, she is actually very kind and carring on the inside. She loves her familiy and would do anything for them, no matter what the cost is to herself. Because of this, people find her very easy to trust, and once they get past her firey attitude, they can truely relate to her. Abryl is also very good at making people feel good about themselves.

Finally, Abryl can be extremely soft at times. Sometimes, when things seem truely dark, Abryl's firely outer shell just seems to melt off of her, revealing a soft and gentle inside. This rarely happens, and most people never see her like this. For the most part, she is only like this when she is with her plants.

Abryl was raised in a little wooded cottage on the edges of the forest. During the summer, light would fall through the trees covering everything in a green haze, and in the winter, pine needles would blanket the ground. Abryl grew up in a quiet part of the seam away from the peace keepers and surrounded by the beauty of the forest. It was this closeness to nature that caused Abryl to become so good with the trees in district seven.

Abryl's family consists of her mother, Amelia Simms, from whom Abryl inherits her "get the job done and no messing around" attitude. Her father, William Simms, is a more gentle and quiet man, and he mostly lets Abryl's mother run the house. Abryl has one older brother named Mabry who is 19. He is now out of the reaping and work full time cutting down trees for paper. Mabry and Abryl are extremely close and look very similar. Also, Abrly has two younger twin brothers named Colton and Edward. They are five and spend most of their days in the cabin or just outside the house playing with each other. Her family does not have that much money.

From a young age, Abryl loved nature. She spent all of her time outside, often leaning against the back of her house and just staring out into the woods for hours. She loved the smell of the pines and would often take little cuttings and plant them. If one payed close enough attention (which her mother did in time), one would see that in time each of her cutting began to grow into a new tree. When she was six, she began to attend school. She hated it, not because she found it boring, but because she was inside for such a long time. When she turned ten, she began work in the forest. Abryl immediately hated it. The work was hard with little food or rest. Worst of all, Abryl was forced to cut down the beautiful pine trees that she considered her friends.

Her mother, learning of Abryl's hatred for the axe, got her restationed. Abryl's new job was to plant the new trees for later harvests, much in future. She took to this quickly, and acceled. It became a joke that whatever Abryl touched would grow. When she was 12, she was entered in the reaping, but neither she nor her brother were ever picked.
