Irene Meloy (Esteller) // 7 // Finished

Shoulder length brown hair that is sometimes in a tie, brown eyes full of concern and care. When people look at Irene Esteller, On the outside, she looks ordinary. She has white skin that's not pale and she has needle marks on her fingers from her sewing and needlework. She does not have anything of value on her really to speak of the only thing that's always adorned around her neck is a necklace of real silver. It has been the only thing in her family that has remained after the death of her parents and she's had it since. She also has some burn marks that will never ever go away from the fire that she was in when she was younger but she almost always has a smile on her face and if she isn't smiling something has to be deadly wrong say like, one of her children got reaped. She is not too tall but not too short either she actually looks either older or younger than 37 it depends on who you ask really.

Her clothing style? She has none. She likes wearing things she has made and she has quite a few of those they are sturdy and warm so she swears them. She likes wearing darker clothing, if she spills something liquid like water, milk or even blood it shows less and she really does believe that cleanliness is next to godliness. All her cloths has pockets, no one exactly knows whats' in these pockets of hers. Sometimes they're coins, sometimes they're treats, sometimes its needles and thread and band aids. It just all depends. On her head, it looks silly but she does wear flowers in her hair, this is due to Tibby who is her youngest. She tries not to deny her daughters anything and Tibby asks for very little anyhow.

As a child growing up, Reenie learned compassion and understanding. She had many siblings so she went without most days which she didn't mind. She was quiet and obedient and she grew up on the principle set by her father “girls should be seen and not heard” well, this worked. She was a big help around the house and she got along well enough with most of her siblings. Certainly there wasn't any fights and if there were Reenie was the first one to back down and apologize. She liked to sew even at a young age and by the time she reached thirteen it not only became her hobby to mend clothing, she got around to making clothing. Sure it was slow going because it was being done by hand, yes she sat hours at a time but she had the patience and the time so, she worked and helped bring extra money in. She got a bit of money extra and what she didn't give to her friends to help them she bought you guessed it more thread to make even more stuff with.

It was either her being quiet or her beautiful sewing that got her noticed by the man she would later marry. Jasper brought a side out of her she didn't think possible. She relaxed more, she talked more and she started to do her own trading instead of leaving her trading up to her mother or her father for that matter. She and Jasper first became friends, going about town and he would watch her and help her out. He being older, looked out for her. He also gave her food when she wasn't having enough. With him, she developed the hobby of story telling. They would go and ask each other “What if....” and with their imagination invented a world entirely out of their own lives and own realms. By the time she reached seventeen, there was an accident.

This accident just nearly brought her back into being reserved. What was more was this accident nearly got her to be overcome by guilt. After this accident, she never went near any kitchen appliances again and what she made actually was never with the aid of fire meaning berries and all. She felt so guilty she was depressed for several years. Finally when she turned twenty, she married her sweetheart and started a family. If she has a bad side, she takes it out on herself or keeps it to herself no one really knows. She's just been nothing but devoted to her husband and family. She does not condone cruelty and that she will fight, she hates the hunger games she thinks its cruel and stupid but she won't say it again, for the fear of losing her family. For her family there is nothing she won't do.

Reenie is a summer child, born on July 31st, she was exactly the middle child of seven siblings. There were three siblings older, three younger and than her parents. By the time she was born, her parents and her oldest brother who was already old enough to work were making money but not enough, so she and her older sister learned at an early age to help out around the house while her parents took second jobs. When they had more kids and she grew older, she helped around the house even more and when she picked up sewing that gave them extra money. While doing all this she helped take care of her siblings, she made sure they had everything even if she didn't she could go without for several days at a time and she didn't think it was really relevant. She could survive on an apple a day.

In school, she was no good at things but people generally left her alone, she wasn't bothering anyone and she certainly wasn't looking for trouble. She stood up for others and got hurt sometimes but she intervened when kids were being cruel (I.e beating up innocent kids). When she saw the reapings, she didn't speak out against them outright but she knew in her heart she hated them and at first she promised herself she wouldn't marry well, that plan went out the window when she befriended Jasper. They became best friends and later lovers.

When she turned seventeen, she wanted to cook a birthday meal for herself that turned into a horrible disaster, she had not only burnt down the house but there had been people in it. She was orphaned after that with little money left and she went into a deep depression. She didn't eat much, she passed out every other day, she wouldn't talk much. She finally came out of it several years later yes, she'd carry that guilt with her throughout her life time but she had to move on. She built a family with Jasper and was happy.

When her first daughter Jasmine was born, she adored her and gave her everything she ever asked. This perhaps was a mistake because Jasmine turned out to be very spoiled. Well, by the time Jasmine reached her teens, Reenie lost control of her eldest born and her relationship with her oldest daughter slowly deteriorated. In the meantime, her middle child had picked up most of her traits, with the exception of sewing. With her middle child she passed onto the importance of family. She still to this day would not talk about what happened to her own but she taught her about protection and love and Eponine took it well. To her youngest, Tabitha, she passed on her talent it seemed of sewing. She makes more money with Tabitha's help and with Eponine's and with her husband and her income combined have a few extra coins and stuff somedays. She just worries about what's going on between her daughters and hopes it won't destroy them but she does not condone Jasmine's cruelty either.
