Alasha
Alasha and I love weekends and enjoy them in a way others in the district can never experience. We enjoy our school free days by taking our homemade explosives and happily blowing up a small shack, a clumb of trees, a car, a peacekeeper's house, or even sometimes, someone's house. Once Ashana and I were caught, but we got out of it, when I blew the peacekeeper up. In the business of blowing things up, you have lots of stories to tell: all sorts of interesting things happen. Once Ashana blew up a dog, and I made sure she couldn't forget about it for the next few years. We've seen people freak out in all sorts of ways at our explosions, but we've never ever been caught by anyone other than that peacekeeper.
Today, Saturday, our minds are set on a bench. Ashana sits on the innocent bench while I fumble around in my pockets for the explosives. Ashana "drops" a pencil and covers for me while I tie an explosive to the bottom of the chair. The area is pretty secluded, so no one should see us, and no one should get hurt. A few years ago, Ashana hadn't created our radar system, so we only had timers on our explosives, meaning if anybody went to our explosives while we watched and waited, they would be blown to smithereens. Now with only the press of a shiny red button from a far distance away, the explosives would blow at our precisely chosen time.
I pat the explosives appreciatively as I tie the last one onto the bench. As I straighten up, I realize the place isn't as secluded as I had thought. In fact, I'd swear that idiot over there had seen me tying the explosives.
