ooc: Since Ki changes his appearance often as part of his "job", this is what he looks like today:

Today, Ki was out with his older brother Naoki, to do a bit of their own "reaping". Their job was nothing like the actual Reaping. All they really did was play the role of teenage Robin Hoods, stealing from the rich to give to the poor. Because it was their only means of survival, they didn't see anything wrong with it. Especially when the only people they "reaped" from were those who were too rich for their own good. Selfish, undeserving snobs.
Ki hadn't been expecting anything different than normal today. He'd chosen his outfit well, dressing as nicely as he could to blend in with the crowd of the Upper Districts. Today he'd be working with his older brother, which he always had fun doing. Naoki made the work a little more enjoyable, although sometimes he also distracted Ki enough into making mistakes. They often goofed around and nearly got each other caught. But hey...it wasn't like this was an official job, or anything. Just, like everything else about being a teenager in this country, their lives depended on it.
Today, Ki and Naoki found themselves in the third District, a place constantly overcast with smog. These people were rich like all the others in the Upper Districts, but Ki didn't envy them. A place with a constantly gray sky? Who would ever want to live here, even with tons of money? The only reason they'd come here today was because they had to vary up where they went to steal, or otherwise people would recognize them. Especially the bored, rich people of the Capitol. It wasn't like those people had anything better to do with their lives other than ruining the lives of others anyway.
On their way to the neighborhood they'd intended to steal from, however, they accidentally took the wrong road. This happened occasionally, where they had scoped out their "victims" ahead of time and on the actual day of the dirty business, somehow managed to wind up lost. That was the situation today.
They didn't actually realize they were lost until the number of houses began to thin down, soon becoming replaced by the towering factories at the edge of the district. Ki had the feeling Naoki was going to blame him for their getting lost, especially considering it had been Ki's idea to come this way. That was why he continued to lead the way, holding his head up and trying to look like he knew where he was going. Damn, if he'd messed up this job for them...They'd found such a good place to reap from too...But he wanted to prove that he could be as much of a leader as Naoki was.
There'd been some silence between them, and Ki had been watching the roads carefully, wondering if he should suggest they turn around. He didn't recognize a single building in this area. Especially not that creepy factory just ahead, one that looked like it had been abandoned for years. It made him shiver, and he actually felt a bit nervous.
Dammit. They were in trouble. Realizing he was going to have to admit he'd messed up, he turned to face Naoki. "OK..." Ki sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I got us lost." He avoided meeting his brother's eye. Even if it wasn't that big a deal, he was upset with himself. After all, this would cost them a meal, wouldn't it?
It was because of his self-disappointment that his usually keen ears didn't hear someone sneaking up on him.
