Light up my Night (Tori, open)

Silently I look at the house of Anna. Last time I knew she was sleeping. Slowly I look up at the night sky, the humidity setting in. With a gentle breeze from time to time. I take a better grip on the bag full of food that I, more or less, stole from the cabinet. Although Anna says I can eat anything I'd like; I just can't. For a moment I hear the rustle of leaves, and following the sound I feel a breeze of wind hit my back. I stop I sigh gently. My bare feet touching the hard pavement.

All of a sudden I smell something like that of a fire. I bolt towards the area that I smell the fire from. Soon enough the smell leads me off of the road and into a small forest inside the boundaries of District 6. All of a sudden my feet step into something wet, and within the next step. I feel a pain in my feet. I take a guess that what I stepped in was a broken bottle and the liquid was left over alcohol that the person dumbed out.

Instead of pausing there I keep running, which increases the pain. To be honest it actually feels good to know I can still feel the pain, it means I'm still alive. I bite my bottom lip and endure the pain for a little while longer. That is until I feel that my feet is covered in blood, there is always a sharp pain, and the sultry smell of a freshly lit fire is in the air. I suddenly collapse right when I trip over something, which I assume is a tree root, and hit my head on what I assume is a tree. While I slowly lose consciousness. I slowly whisper Anna's name several times over before I lose full consciousness.
