I sush on my boots and listen to the rain bound against my window. For some reason it has been raining for four days straight, this was something very unusual for our district. i sneak into the kitchen and grab a handfull of rasberries and bread and wait for the sun to come up as i nibble on my morning filling.

the sun finally rose up in the sky, but the rain was still falling. i was puzzled on wether or not i should go outside for my walk today or not. i didnt want to get wet but for some reason i just wanted to explore. usually im not one for 'exploring' but today somewhere deep in my gut i could tell somthing was going to happen today - good or bad- i didnt know yet.
i pull open the door and get waffed in the scent of rain, in a way it smells like fresh cut grass, but at the same time it doesnt, it has a unique smell to it. once i made sure my boots were fastened and i was wearing a semi clean pair of clothes i looked at myself in the mirror outside of my house.
wow, i thought. i quickly ran my fingers through my ruggid hair. it looked very unkempt but it would have to do for now.
the rain slowly let up as i started walking out of my street and into the intersection.
the rain soon started to get my clothes, not drenched per say, but just wet enough to know that i had been walking around for a while. today i was going to look on the brightside..... but with this cloud cover maybe there wasnt going to be a brightside today.
you can come in anywhere you want but i was thinking i would leave it open for you to do whatever you cherry felt like. hopefully you enjoy it; if not just tell me and i can change it up if i have to. so no worries- a-kuna-ma-tah-tah. <3

Coryn,

The rain beating away my soul, the rain beating away everything I call home. I wish it would stop, nevertheless it keeps beating on.

I walk through the rain, to see if I can find anything to do other than train. Training is my least favorite thing to do in the world, it reminds me to much of killing. There's not many people outside today, just people hurrying through the rain to there not important destinations.

I see someone in the distance walking at average pace, which is abnormal for the people of district 2.

up ahead through the mist of rain i see a structure of a broud shouldered man. he must be a career, like me, i thought. thinking that i may know him i fugured i would speed up my pace a bit to say hi. theres no bad time to make a new friend. i reached him in a few strides and took a close look at him, he had blonde hair green eyes, muscular, but who wasnt. the thing was i have never met him before. usually careers team up to train, and it looks like he has been training his upper body. yet he seems to be sulking. not knowing how he would take me being there- because i know some careers have this 'i will fight anyone' phase- i held up my hand and waved an akward- well for me that is- wave.
he still seemed to not really notice anything, or if he did i didnt notice.
so i started comparing him to me. his hair, eyes, skin, everything was the total opposite than me, except height. (he's tan skinned) we were about the same height, i was probably 2 maybe 3 inches taller than him.
i smiled and stood there, as the rain lightly fell between us.
"hi, I'm Jared." in a strong voice, well i guess you could say it was my normal voice.... it just seemed out of place in this strange silence.

"Hello, Jared. I'm Coryn. So what are you doing out in the rain?" I ask. The rain is starting to grow on me, not so disrupting anymore. I'm glad there's someone to talk to in this stormy abyss. I look at the sky. If its the same weather in the arena, then they should all be huddled in there hiding places trying to keep warm. I start to feel sorry for them, then I remember that I'm in the same boat, destined to kill in the arena

"i" i tried to think of a good excuse but couldnt find one. well i might as well just tell the truth.
"im out for my morning walk." i say through my teeth, the rain seemed to calm a bit more. i look up in the sky, trying to stare down the rain, wondering who will win this fight, not that i was afraid of loosing. the tributes are probably deeping with heavy rain pour too. but thats to say none of our districts are either. it just seemed strange to have the same wheather.
i stare back at Coryn, waiting for a relpy, or a smart remark or anything to show that he was listening to what i said.

"Ah, I see..." I say quietly. I'm not one for jogs, but I guess there are some people who are. The rain is not giving up, it just keeps going and going. "....Are you jogging to somewhere?" I ask. It seems like a sensible question, I mean who jogs just to jog.
