Ziva Viress' lavender eyes swept happily across the room. She was attending a meeting at the moment. A very important meeting. She was surrounded by some of the most influential people in the Capitol, and she was sitting next to the President, taking note of all the important things she heard. Which was, no surprise, a lot. Her hand was writing so fast, she didn't even want to think about the cramps she would have later.
She really looked amazing today. Her spiky hair was absolutely perfect. Her make-up was done impeccably (as always), and her clothes was bright and fun, but still appropriate for the occasion. Her finger nails had been done to match her eyes, so they were light lavender. Her toe nails she had painted a bit darker, and plum color. Her five-inch heels really showcased them as well. Sometimes she just couldn't believe how amazing she was.
The meeting ended and Ziva smiled brightly at the President, showing off her bright white teeth. "Here you go, sir, the notes, like you asked for." He nodded, thanked and dismissed her, and walked away. Ziva made her own way through the crowd to reach the elevator.
She didn't particularly like the President, but she really did respect him. All of that power, the prestige...he had it all. And she had no doubt that he had lied, schemed, and clawed his way to the top. That's what you had to do if you wanted to be someone in the Capitol. It wasn't easy. Everyone was gorgeous, and talents didn't mean much anymore.
Her pointy purple python shoes clacked against the tiled floor as Ziva stepped onto the elevator and pressed her floor number perkily. She was going home (finally!) after a long day of sitting at a desk, talking to people who weren't important enough to be handled by someone more important, but had "big enough" issues that she had to deal with them. Ziva really couldn't stand people like that. Just suck it up and do something about it yourself!!! she had wanted to say. But she couldn't, because she was Ziva Viress, the bubbliest person ever.
The elevator dinged and she stepped out into the glorious lobby of the Capitol building. She had grown up in foster homes, and there were times where she still wasn't used to how immaculately clean it was in the richer parts of the Capitol. This is where I belong, Ziva thought. Not with those trashy underdogs who hardly even deserve to live here. what have they done? I've truly risen above them. I'm so much better.
Ziva knew she was conceited. She knew that she felt like she deserved the best. But she felt like she had earned that right. No one else had come so far in only a few years. It had only been five years since she had moved out of her final foster home, and she was already the President's secretary! And she was only twenty-one. Really, she felt like she had earned the right to be proud of her accomplishments. No one else could come above her.
ooc: Um, weird ending. Sorry, whoever responds.
