Anna had just received another load of fish, two large net-fulls. It looked like she’d be here until the sun went down. She didn’t mind though, where was there to go back to the community home? Not likely that place bearable on the best of days, and besides she actually liked her work. It was meditative. You just rip the fish open and splat there insides into the barrel next to you, Endless, repetitive, and soothing. Anna liked to imagine the fish were people that made her angry.
Riiiip. Splat.
There goes her teacher
Riiiip. Splat.
The heads of the community home
Riiiip. Splat.
The peacekeepers who make sure the kids in the community home get little to nothing
Riiiip. Splat.
Her customers, the ones that thought themselves too rich to get their hands dirty when they can pay someone else to.
Riiiip. Splat.
Even some of the other kids, the ones who annoy her.
Yep very soothing.
Anna had set herself up in this little shack years ago, it had originally been a project for some training careers, shelter building. They had obviously cheated because the structure was put together using materials and methods that you’d rarely find in any arena. It served her purposes though, and it had held up, with a little help from Anna. She sat now with her back to the front wall on a straight backed chair the door to her left. A barrel marked D6BioF to her right where she deposited the fish guts and heads to be sent off to district 6 for some experiment or another. Two tightly woven nets were attached to the ceiling by hooks which she would throw the gutted headless fish into. The un-prepared fish were in the fishing nets on the floor, some of them where still flopping around in there trying to get themselves back to the unreachable water. She looked at them and couldn’t help but think about those tributes who were fighting it out in that frigid arena, they were a lot like these fish.
The smell in the shack was, of course, repulsive. Lucky for Anna it was still the middle of winter, so there was no heat making things even worse and it wasn’t like the whole district didn’t smell like fish already.
Riiiip. Splat.
She was about a third of the way through her first net, and had run out of faces.
She was about to start inserting the random citizens of the Capitol that she had seen on the television in the community home when she heard a knock at the door.
Ooc: so this is whoever wants to be that person. Also as a note most my post aren’t normally this long. Also the spell check is showing random things in here that I can't see so if they end up soing up I will try and edit them out.
