Anastasia wandered around the streets of District 10. It was something she did often, walking around with no true goal to get to. She didn't belong here. She never really had. Even when Logan was alive, she knew she was an outsider to this place. So did everyone else.
She sighed. It was still early in the morning. She had absolutely nothing to do. The district was the same everyday. Nothing ever changed, nothing ever became suddenly exciting. She regretted ever settling here. At least in the Capitol there was some kind of new gossip every morning you awoke.
Ever since she had run away to District 10, Anastasia had never left the confines of it's fence. She had never broken another law or tried to escape this place. It became her own personal prison, by choice. Today however, she wanted to be free.
Anastasia stepped up to the fence that surrounded the district. It was too early for it to be on, she waited to hear the signature hum that alerted you to the electric current running through the metal. The fence was silent. She was safe to cross. Anastasia was at the exact spot that her and Logan had crossed the fence when she had entered District 10. It looked the same, like this whole district, nothing had changed.
She took a deep breath, steadying herself by thinking of him. Without thinking, she crawled under a gap in the fence and walked into the forest. She was free. Anastasia took another breath, the air here seemed so much cleaner. Perhaps it was just her way of celebrating her momentary freedom.
She began to walk through the woods- taking in each tree, leaf, step. She wanted to remember everything. Just the way it was. The birds twittered in the trees, she heard the distinct call of a Mockingjay. The bird of freedom. She smiled. Even the forest seemed happy at her escape. She walked for a couple of hours, stopping only to take in a new sight.
Anastasia stopped when she heard the snap of a twig. Someone else was near her. She didn't move. Just waited.

Lost and insecure
You found me, you found me
Lying on the floor
Surrounded, surrounded
Lost and insecure
You found me, you found me
Lying on the floor
Surrounded, surrounded
