Anastasia Serena Swift
And I'll hide from the world
Behind a broken frame
And I'll burn forever
I can't face the shame
And I'll hide from the world
Behind a broken frame
And I'll burn forever
I can't face the shame
Anastasia was broken. Two years had passed since her life had finished and her slow, painful death had begun. She almost blamed him for this. At least his death was quick- painless. She would rather face a slit throat than have to burn with so much emotion for the rest of her life.
Her breath caught in her throat as she thought of him again. She choked back tears, his voice was still velvety soft in her mind. Telling her his last words- I love you angel. His sapphire eyes still smoldered, his messy black hair still covered them slightly, he could never tame it.
This memory made Anastasia smile- she only ever smiled when she thought of him.
Her mind switched back to the last time she had seen him. He had been taken to a posh room that was smothered in red velevet. His eyes were red rimmed, and tears continued to flow as she had stepped through the door. Through the blur of her own salty tears, his eyes shone through. She would never forget this moment.
They held eachother. Two halves of the same soul. Anastasia could not speak. He was the only one who remained strong.
"I will always love you. Please, baby, whatever happens on that screen, I want you to remain strong. Don't throw your life away over me. Fall in love again, live your life. You are so beautiful, I am so happy you gave me that one in a million chance of finding your soulmate. It's like being kissed by an angel, my angel."
They sat in silence, he stroked her hair and face, remembering every detail of her. She sobbed, soaking his shirt with tears.
"I love you. You must know before I go. I am pregnant." Her voice was almost inaudible, but her heard those words loud and clear. He held her tighter.
"I will always love you angel. No matter what."
Anastasia was dragged from the room, forced to leave the only person who had ever meant anything to her in her whole life. She would never forget his face- the image was burned into her memory.
The street she was standing aimlessly in was empty, so her tears let them self appear again. Even after all this time, she still couldn't control them. Her heart still ached as the splintered pieces threatened to break through her ribcage. Sometimes she desperately wished they would.
Anastasia sat down, her back again a cold, brick wall. She sobbed uncontrollably.
No one can save me now. She thought.
