Corissa Mae
Name: Corissa Mae
Age: 17
Gender: Female
District/Area: District 1
Appearance:
Corissa has bright, strawberry-blonde hair that falls just below her shoulders. It has different strands of brown and blonde, mixing in with the red. Her hair is wavy, and is cut in many layers. She has bangs that are cut across her forehead and stop in front of her eyebrows. Corissa's skin is a pale-white, with a few freckles spread out under her eyes and a few on her chin. Her eyes are bright brown, but are slightly different sizes; her right eye is smaller than the left. She has full, light pink lips and a straight nose. She has attached earlobes, though they are too small for her face. Corissa prefers to cover them up with her hair, for she thinks they make her face look weird. Corissa commonly has a few acne problems, though she tries her best to cover it up with make-up.Personality:
Corissa is said to look younger than she actually is; usually fourteen rather than sixteen. She is very slender, though not a unhealthy skinny. She is about average height, standing at 5'4'' and has long legs and arms; covered in freckles. Her arms and legs are rather muscular, with all the training that she does.
Corissa is very picky about what she wears; extremely obsessive about matching. Her clothes can never be torn or old looking, meaning that she always has to buy new ones. Her whole wardrobe consists of mainly blue; blue being her favorite color. All of her clothes are new, yet simple. She prefers not to wear anything too covering, yet not too revealing. Obviously she is obsessive about her wardrobe.
Corissa is obsessive about everything. From her hair to her wardrobe, everything has to be perfect. She hates it when others' clothes don't match, or when their hair is flying in every which direction. She is sometimes rude and arrogant about pointing these things out to people; causing her to be disliked by many people. She knows that some others don't like these things to be pointed out to them, but she believes that things like this are obvious.History:
Despite her rude behavior towards looks, Corissa also can be very generous and caring towards others. When she sees some of the more unfortunate and poorer people on the streets, she will generously take out some of her spare money and offer it to them; though a lot don't except it. She doesn't know if this is the right thing to do, but she finds it nice and caring. Corissa is sometimes very quiet, and doesn't talk to anyone. Sometimes she doesn't even talk to blurt out a rude comment about what others are wearing.
One of Corissa's least favorite things to do is train for The Hunger Games. She hates the idea that everyone in District 1,2 and 4 are excited about The Games, and are called Careers. Corissa's parents make her train for them, believing that she has got the talent to win; though Corissa knows that all parents probably say the same thing to their children. Despite how much Corissa hates training, she is excellent at knife throwing. Almost all the time, Corissa manages to hit the training dummy in the designated spots; though she hates the idea that she might be chosen for The Games and have to perform it on an actual human being.
Corissa is the firstborn, and only child of her family. She lives with her mom and dad, who barely ever work; though they are still very wealthy. Corissa's parents are very strict, and always force her to train for The Hunger Games. Her parents are extremely proud of Corissa, believing that they have the strongest and most beautiful daughter in the district; though this is not true. Corissa describes her parents as 'typical District 1 parents'.Codeword: Odair
Corissa did have a younger brother, Tyler. He was ten when he mysteriously dissapeared. Most people think that he had found a way to get past the fence, and got killed by one of the wil creatures that live out there. Corissa disagrees; she believes that he ran away, escaping from their parents. Corissa sometimes wishes that she could run away, escape from the district and The Hunger Games... Tyler probably had the same thought. Though Corissa deeply misses Tyler, and often wonders what happened to him, she can't suppress the happy feeling that he is gone and doesn't have to face the threat of dying in The Hunger Games.
When Corissa and Tyler were young, they weren't very close. Corissa was treated so much better than him, and often felt guilty about it. Though Tyler never complained, Corissa could tell how angry and frustrated he was all the time. Perhaps that was the reason he left' this was something Corissa thought often. She still feels the horrible guilt everytime she remembers it, though it was so long ago.
