Aphrodite Temple {District 1}

Aphrodite has a naturally tanned, sun kissed skin skin tone with blonde wavy hair and darker blonde highlights. Aphrodite's hair falls like a water fall down her back to her waste. Her eyes are a piercing, sky blue in the shape of almonds and because her eyes are so narrow and to some people cold looking she often looks angry. The eye brows are a dark brownish blonde like her highlights and they have a high pointed arch making her eyes look even more mean and angry. Aphrodite's pale pink lips are 'to tiny' she plans on getting botox to 'fix them up'.

Being 5'5 ft. she isn't short but she isn't tall and most of her height is in her leg length. Her body is strong and slender, and it's almost as if her body could be in a fitness magazine because she is constantly exersizing. Because she is a career she has good upper and lower body strength from her training sessions which she is proud of and likes to show off. When Aphrodite walks it is more like stomps because she is not a quiet person, in fact when she speaks it is almost like a yell making her, once again, sound very scary and intimidating but she also came from a loud family. Aphrodite's wardrobe can best be described as colored candy and vintage. She likes the pops of color but she also likes the boho vintage trends.

Aphrodite could probably be best described as a bit of a 'bitch'. She is always judging people based on their appearance and not what is in the inside. She has that mean girl vibe and people mostly keep their distance from her because of how she acts. Sometimes she doesn't mean to be rude, sometimes Aphrodite is just saying what is on her mind without thinking, and in result to her stuck-up, immature personality she doesn't have many friends. It is probably the influence her family puts on her that makes her so obnoxious; her mother and father always have told her "a people person won't win the games."

Supposivly it's okay to say Aphrodite is a confident person in herself; by that she is confident in her fitness skills. But aside from career training she does have other interests. One of her favorite interests is her expression for artistic ability. Aphrodite enjoys the art citizens of the Capitol show- for example: their beautifuly decorated and colored body art. If becoming a tribute or a victor never worked out for Aphrodite she decided she will one day move to the Capitol and become a tattoo artist. Aphrodite is actually a decent artist to which could be handy in this career, ever since she was 10 she took interest in the art and culture of the Capitol. She defiantly doesn't hate the Capitol like other citizens do.

Because Aphrodite has never worked a day in her life she is a little clueless to what others in different districts have to do to get a meal. She, on the other hand, is spoiled because her parents put a lot of their money towards training equipment for Aphrodite or things she needs/wants. Perhaps if she was more aware of what people in the lower districts had to do to be able to afford a meal she would be less selfish and more thankful for always going to bed with a full tummy. Also, living in a career district has influenced her personality a lot because growing up she has been told that she is going to be training for the games and even though she acts as if it's not much of a big deal to be apart of the games secretly she is scared she might be reaped and dreads the thought. This is one of the reason why she acts so horrible because she feels she should bring it out on other people. She doesn't want others to notice her weakness.

Aphrodite was 10 when she started training for the games, 2 years before actually having her name put inside the glass ball for the reaping. It seemed that one day her parents just decided that because a lot of the children in district 1 were in training for the games that it was only necessary she would be to. In the first year of her training she was appaulled by the idea and as the year of her first reaping came around she was devastated to watch 2 children of her district be taken to the Capitol for the games. But Aphrodite's parents kept reminding her how great it would be to win the games because of the fortune that came along with it. The family was rich but not victor rich, and most of her parent's hard earned money was easily spent on lifting weights or something Aphrodite could put to use for her training.

Once she turned 10 she was verbally abused by her mother and father; most of the reason why they screamed at her was because to them it didn't seem like she was working hard enough to become a victor which wasn't true. Although most of the reason why she even trained was to please them, the other part was for herself because in a way she did want to win. Now, because she doesn't want to relive getting screamed at or anything worse she works extra hard just to please them. Aphrodite is a only child so she feels that she is holding all of the pressure her parents are putting on her, but they never use to act that way. When she was little they had treated her as a normal child but when Aphordite's mother and father began making new friends with children older than Aphrodite who were being trained for the games they felt it was only necessary to have their daughter trained in the arts of survival. Even before she begun her training she was judged for not being trained because to those people it was abnormal.

Aphrodite's parents are often never home because they are busy working. Her mother, Astrid, is a nurse and her father, Esu, is a manager of a mechanic company. Because their jobs are fairly important Aphrodite is home alone or in a training center when they are working. She doesn't care though, it has been like that ever since she can remember and she would rather them not be their all the time because they nag at her a lot. When she is home alone she is mostly just watching old Hunger Games or sketching out interesting designs.

Aphrodite also has epilepsy. She is very embarrassed of it and the only people who know are her parents and her diary (where she writes everything down). One day she forgot to take her pills and almost had a seizure in the schools training room but she hurried to the bathroom on time before it got worse; ever since she has taken her medication. The seizures aren't bad, not enough to kill Aphrodite but they do take a lot of energy out of her. The times she forgot to have her pills and had a seizure she missed a lot of school making fellow peers question about her and where she was at. Aphrodite thinks no one could love a sick girl.

Aphrodite is questioning her sexual orientation but she thinks it be best not to speak of that to her parents because they might not be very acceptionate or open to the idea.
