Appearance:

Complexion like a dewdrop, her skin is fairly smooth and clear of blemishes. The only part of her with any markings is just below her eyes and on her nose where a few faint freckles rest. Briar has pale skin, but when she steps outside, she starts tanning instantaneously. Although her dark hair and dark eyebrows betray her light pigmentation, she is far from sun-kissed nomatter how much she tries she change it.

Dark brown chesnut oculars rest above her faintly freckled cheeks, in the shapes of large almonds. Unlike most almond-shaped eyes, hers do not lean toward one side, making her look asian. They rest straight, except for her her lashes start, it begins to look like they tilt upward a bit. A cause of her coarse, dark eyelashes. Just above her eyes, in a softangle formation are neat loking brown eyebrows that are constantly tended to. Briar was taught by her mother to always look proper and groomed, as much as she hated it.

Briar's hairline starts about three inches above her brows, giving her the perfectly normal four-head. Although when she furrows her brow, it looks as though she has but a three-head. Without bangs are her long, waved brunette locks that stretch down to her very small chest. Her long hair is easy to maintain, especially because she usually fishtail or french braids it.

Weighing in at a rather healthy 103 pounds, Briar is only a mere five feet and two inches tall. Shorter than most, and skinnier indeed, she can be mistaken for a child at times. The only thing thatt defies that assumption is her mature figure. As limber as she is, Briar has a fair bust size of 36 C. Although itmakes her look a bit disproportionate due to her small size, she finds a way of pulling it off by wearing the right clothing.

Her best way to pull off feminine charm is the way she dresses. Rarely seen in tattered clothing, she wears tight-fitting tops along with loose skirts or nice shorts. Although it is an expected outfit from a District wealthy as hers, she tries to look proper most of the time. Well, sometimes. She mostly enjoys dressing herself in comfortable shorts and tank tops.

Personality:

Having a fiery passion for most things she does, Briar would easily be classified as a passionate character. Whether it be doing houehold chore such as tending to the garden or going on a walk or taking a swim, she always puts all of her effort into work. Unless of course she extremely loathes the situation. She does not ever do things halfway.

Briar absolutely despises where she is from. Everything was handed to her. And her hardest job was grooming the cat. Briar would much rather live in district 12 where she would have to work harder. She has been discriminated because of this, but couldn't care less.

Her attitude is not one to be jealous of. In fact her favorite saying is, "Ask me if I care." She doesn't. She just doesn't care if you hate her, hate her point of view. It simply doesn't bother her. Not to mention how she channels annoyance and anger: through sarcasm. Rather than scream her head off, knowing it wouldn't change a thing, she acts sarcastic toward people. As in, she will kid around in a humourous way, but most people wouldn't laugh at her sarcasm.

Briar wants to be somebody. She continues to strive to become an intelligent and memorable young woman. Unlike a housewife who cares not a smidge about money, she wants to go down in Panem history. Not just another generation of a wasted soul, like what she thinks of half of district 1. This determination is channeled toward her ability to run. She knows of no career that involves running, but she is quite good at it.

In fact, running happens to be her most favorite thing to do. When the world seems dim and lifeless, she throws on a simple outfit and runs around the district, never stopping. Her agility has improved because of this habit, but she has grown less fun to be around due to her tendency of running rather than having fun.

History:

The history of Briar Rose Marino is quite simple, indeed. She was born June 8th, and is currently 16. At age 8, her younger sister known as Violet was welcomed into the world. Briar's parents are fairly wealthy, living in district 1. Her family has no chance of being poor, to her regret.

Briar hasn't changed much over the 16 years of her existance. Well not in spirit, but in body. She and her sister were both clearly named after flowers, as well as her mother, Poppy.

Sadly, Briar's father who was known as Gage passed away when she was 9. While painting, the house, Gage fell off of the ladder and broke his neck. This easily lead to death.

Briar has always been spoiled. Everything she ever wanted was handed her on a silver platter. But, after studying the behavior of people and children like her, she decided it was ridiculous to live the way that she did.

Her mother, Poppy, works at the bakery, selling breads. She always brings back some nice bread on holidays. This delights Briar, because she absolutely loves bread.

Each reaping day, Briar puts in for tesserae. She doesn't need it, but to be sure, she gets it to assure Violet's health and happiness.

Her father used to work at the bakery as well, but as I previously stated, he died. Although, he made good money there, so Briar does not need to work. When she turns 17 though, she will also work at the bakery. It is a family custom.
