Personality:
Anthony Reed reaches a height of 6ft. Most of this eighteen year olds body appears to be muscle and along with his height, he seems intimidating to most. With his dirty blonde hair cut fairly short and gelled in a "charming" as he calls it, hairstyle, Anthony works to keep himself polished and perfect. A bit of facial hair is present on Anthony at times as it frames his lips which are almost always twisted in some sort of grin.
Greenish-blue eyes are shaded by thick eyebrows and one can always see a glint of mischief in them. Despite his otherwise handsome features, Anthony occasionally finds himself glaring in the mirror at his rather large ears. Luckily, his size and strength have deterred anyone from working up the nerve to point this quality out. Another flaw Anthony constantly sees in himself is the scar on his forehead that always haunts him
After training all his life, Anthony's hands are calloused and rough and his feet, which are a bit larger than normal, share such feature. Anthony's lightly tanned skin completes his look as he strives to impress the girls of District 2. With such striking eyes, chiseled facial structure, and a cute quirk such as his large ears, Anthony has no problem doing so.
Anthony is described by those who know him as a gentle giant. Despite his intimidating size and ability in training, Anthony is more of a joker than a fighter. Anthony's sense of humor and outgoing personality make it easy for him to make friends. This, however, is both a gift and a curse since Anthony finds himself having to figure out if someone is truly his friend or just wants something from him like a chance in the limelight.History:
Anthony, like most boys of District 2, works hard and trains of the Hunger Games. With his great grandfather's victory in a Hunger Game, Anthony is motivated even more to practice. The thought of hunting others, however, secretly bothers Anthony and at night, he cannot help wondering if the Hunger Games are right. After watching his neighbor's young daughter be brutally murdered, Anthony found himself less enthusiastic about the Hunger Games and has not volunteered for one yet.
Anthony's loyal and caring side is normally seen by his closest friends and his family. Anthony makes it his duty to watch over his little sister and to always be there for his friends. Of course, if you get on Anthony's bad side, a feat hard but possible, you better watch out. Anthony, although a happy and kind guy, has a nasty habit of holding a grudge.
Once Anthony decides to hold a grudge against someone, his anger and resentment towards them builds and builds. This occasionally results in a fight breaking out between him and the other person. These fights are normally short squabbles but Anthony's refusal to back down from a fight and his pride are recipes for disaster
In training, Anthony has mastered the sword and spear, but even after years of training he is not perfect. Anthony's intelligence is not top notch and his speed and agility are lacking as well. Since most of his time outside of school is spent training, Anthony has had few relationships. He hopes to find someone that gets his jokes and funny side, but also knows the real him and is not just out for popularity or money.
Anthony was born in District 2 and his lived a fairly easy life. With both parents alive and well and a younger sister, Anthony has not experienced any major losses. Both Anthony's parents have well paying jobs and together their income amounts to more than enough placing the Reed family near the top of the District 2 social ladder.Codeword: Odair
Anthony, however, has been plagued with nightmares of his past. When he was only four and his sister, Anistasia, was not yet born, Anthony's mother nearly died. She had heart problems since childhood and one day while she was watching young Anthony battle the family pet with his newest play sword, she fell to the ground gasping for air. Anthony was terrified and screamed for someone to help. Being only four, he didn't quite understand what was happening other than his mother needed help and fast. While running around frantically, he fell against the sharp edge of the dinning room table and cut his forehead open. Although help arrived to save her and rush both her and the crying and bleeding Anthony to the hospital, Anthony still wishes he could have done more. If it had not been for a neighbor walking past the house, she would have died. This feeling of failure has haunted Anthony and made him overly protective of his sister. A scar above his right eye also serves as a constant reminder of that day.
While Anthony's sister loves him and couldn't live without him, his over protective side has driven a wedge in their relationship over the years as he has driven away boyfriend after boyfriend. Anthony feels he could never have his own family for fear that something may happen and he would not be able to save them. This constant feeling of being a failure has brought Anthony to train night and day. Slowly loosing his friends, Anthony's main goal is to be the best son, brother, and possibly in the future, husband, he can be.
With the need to be stronger for his family and the pressure to be popular at school, Anthony is barely hanging onto sanity. Balancing these two has become a seemingly impossible tasks and at times he just wants to run away and forget every responsibility that he has.
