Personality:
Dawn is what some people would call gorgeous, others not so much. She's perfectly tan all year round. Her hair is a beautiful dark brown with natural highlights. Her eyes are stunning as well. They are a pretty hazel color that some people can't seem to turn away from them. A lot of people don't realize but her ears are really small. That is why she always has her hair down or in some fashion that will cover them. She is also really self concious about the size of her feet. There are a 10! And it's not like she's tall. It puts her body out of proportion. So she does her best to pick out shoes to make them appear smaller. It dosen't always seem to work though. She has gotten some pretty nasty comments. There os one thing Dawn loves and isn't afaid to hide. The 5 inch scar on her upper thigh. She was sparring with another Career and they were using swords. They weren't supposed to actually harm eachother, but it was an accident. Well at least she assumed it was. Who knows?
Build wise Dawn is pretty average. She's skinny but not super skinny. So, in other words she has curves. She is 5"6 in height. So she is on the shorter side of the Careers. Even though most people would awesome she's quick because of her size, she's not. It's not that she's slow she is just not super speedy. Though what she lacks for in speed is made up in her climbing. She always seems to be able to stay on the weakest of branches. Some people call her a spider monkey. She dosen't particularly like being called names.
Dawn is extremely graceful. Always has been. You can give her six inch heels, tell her to run around the block in them and she wouldn't trip once. Her gracefulness is most likely the reason she can climb trees so easily. She is a only child as well. Her parents are pretty well off money wise, so she gets whatever she wants when she wants it. Sometimes you can see that in the way she acts. A.K.A she can be a spoiled brat at times. Most likely one of the contributing factors to her not being popular. Popularity dosen't matter much to her anyway, she dosen't care what other people think about her. Which is why if she dosen't like you she'll appear to be a bitch. No matter how high up you are on the social ladder.History:
Something that sets Dawn apart from her parents is her refusal to give up. Her parents always seem to quit when things get rough, while Dawn on the other hand never does. Even when the odds may not be in her favor, she still tries to do what she can to come out on top. She always sets high goals for herself. Sometimes they might be a little unrealistic. Dawn is also strong headed as well, once she has an opinion on something or someone she dosen't change it. Ever, even when she may be wrong.
One thing that makes Dawn look weak to other people is that she has a tendency to let her emotions show. If she's angry or sad everyone in a 50 foot radius will know it. She never really cries from sadness though. Most of the time it's from pure frustration. She is a perfectionist, so if something is not right she will let you know. Most of the time when she tells you it comes off rude. Dawn is extremely creative. She can see a use for things that others may not be able too. Dawn can be arrogant to the point where it is annoying. She knows she is good at what she does and is not afraid to admit it. She very rarely ever listens to her peers. Even when they are right. She does what she believe is best and has gotten injured at times because of it.
Dawn's family is pretty good on money. They're not filthy rich but they enough money so Dawn can get what she wants when she wants it. Now, some people may think Dawn's a funny name but there is a reason for it. When she was born, it was dawn...on the day of the reaping for the 44th Annual Hunger Games. It was a surprisingly nice day for a reaping. The birds were signing, and all the flowers were in bloom. It was lovely, at leat that's what her mother says.Codeword: odair
Unlike most upper district parents, Dawn's did not force her to become a Career. They had given her the choice. Though they could see what was going to happen. Ever since she was able to understand the Games Dawn dreamed of being in them. One of her and her friends favorite games was to pretend they were tributesand that they were in the Games. Dawn always seemed to win. No one ever knew why either. It could have been because she never quit or just because she got lucky.
When Dawn was 9 she had made her decision. She would train to be a Career. Her parents did not object. They were actually pretty happy, but quite nervous at the same time. They knew that at one point and time she would be in the Games. And there was nothing they could do about it. Their only fear was to lose their precious daughter. She never was exactly the popular one in school. Of course she had friends, but most people seemed to turn away from her. Maybe it was due to the fact that she could come of rude and arrogant. Though, the people who saw past it became her closest friends. She had about 7 close friends...until her training started. Then the number dwindled down to 4. The three that left claimed that she had become even more arrogant since she started. Oh well, Dawn was never exactly the one to care about what people thought about her.
But Dawn did take her training to an extreme that you don't see most of the time. All of her spare time was spent at the training center working her butt off. She slowly crept up the ranks of the Careers. She isn't near the top but is in a decent position for her age.So maybe they were right, that she did become more cocky an arrogant. Dawn took a very literal meaning to her name as well. Since she chose to train and since her parents agreed, she has gotten up every morning at dawn to run 4 miles and then to go train. She hopes that one day she will win the Games.
