Wren Gearhart- District 5

Wren has olive skin with freckles on her nose and lightly on her cheeks. Her eyes are a hazel color, more brown than green and very illuminating against her skin. Her hair is dark brown with lighter brown hair streaks from the sun. Her hair is long and wavy/curly and gets easily tangled and can be unmanageable.

Wren is about 5' 3'' or 4'' and has an average build, a bit on the thin side. She has the occasional freckle here or there all over. One of them is on her neck in fact. Her eyebrows are very soft looking even though they are dark and thick. Her eyelashes are thin and dark and long. Her lips are a very pretty color, appearing to have lipgloss when they do not. They're also very full. She has a very serious look to her and she wears lots of knit wear and jeans and simple clothes because she isn't rich.

When you live in Panem, there are a lot of traits that your born into, most of the time. One trait you have is survival. Whether it's knowing how to hunt or make things that can be sold on the black market or having some sort of fighting skill or trade, you have to learn how to survive and also to be hungry. Those are two things that Wren knows well. She's particulary good at bargaining and talking her way into things. Her words can be quite manipulative and she has a charm that people can't seem to resist even though it's completely an act. Whether she's crying, flirting, hard balling, bluffing, or patronizing, she can always get what she wants. Except from her dad, who knows her too well. In fact, she got a lot of her style from him.

A bad habit of Wren's is stealing. She doesn't do it often but sometimes she'll knick a roll or something while in town if she's hungry or sees something she likes. But she hasn't gotten caught yet and knows not to do it often enough to get caught.

Outwardly, Wren is sneaky, quiet, and even a bit intimidating to her peers. She has a bit of a mean looking or snappy but really nice if she wants something or if she feels like messing with someone. She's quite the flirt too even though its not because she wants a boy friend but because it's entertaining to her and she's good at it.

Inwardly, there is more to Wren. She loves writing poetry, carving things out of wood, and running. When doing these things, she feels she can clear her head and relax. She also loves spending time with her dad.

Her character flaws are her complusive lying (even though it has helped her a lot), her habit of thieving, her irrational fear of illness, death, starvation, injury, blood, deadly animals, and anything like it. Another flaw is her insincerity. She has a load of friends and is very good socializer but they don't mean a lot to her. It would take a lot to make someone special to her. This could hurt her or be very beneficial for her depending on what happens in her life.

Wren's parents, Brutus and Greta, met it was love at first sight back in school. They married as soon as they were no longer eligible for being Reaped and had a baby. Brutus and Greta were so happy having their little Wren and having the perfect family. Brutus worked on an oil rig while Greta repaired clothes for people that were past wear and made blankets and other things. There life was perfect and they couldn't be happier but one winter when Wren was only five, Greta grew very sick with pnemonia and passed away. It was very difficult on Brutus and Wren but they stuck together and got through it. Since, they've been particularly close.

Ever since Wren's first day of kindergarten, it was clear that she wasn't going to be the most studious child. She enjoyed talking and causing mischief and it was appearant that she would probably follow her father's footsteps to work at the oil rigs. But one class Wren always did well in was English because she had a way with words and was great at writing.

Wren would often accompy her father to the black market and was taught by her dad how to make trades, even when she was very young. She was so cute that bringing her along was the best choice. Soon, Wren was already charismatic enough to make deals on her own and became adept at it. Before she knew it, her father was sending her on trips by herself and she felt independent. Everyone couldn't help but love her; whether it was a niave belief that she really was the sweetest thing or an admiration for her skillful manipulative talents.

Her father and her were always close. Often, he took her on trips to the rigs with him and they'd spend night in the meadow watching the stars when it was warm enough in the summertime. Wren knew all the constellations and planets that were visable. They would often talk about everything and anything, though the topic of her mother wasn't one that came up very often. Wren and her dad are best friends.

She has a lot of casual friends because her personality is so charming but they don't many anything special to her. The only person that really matters to her is her father and also herself. She has no love interest although she has the heart of many boys in town because of her mannerism. Maybe a special boy can get her attention one day.
