Artemis Finn- District 6

Artemis is not underfed! She hates people saying that or thinking that. She is just small for her age and shorter than the rest of her counterparts. Standing at only 4 foot 3 inches tall. There is nothing wrong with that! She is a slim child, but she has a few curves starting to show.

Her round brown eyes are always searching with a slight twinkle to them. Like she knows a secret she isn't sharing.

Artemis has straight jet black hair that is cut in a spiked bob. Her skin is the color of milk chocolate, as a consolation for her father's funeral she was granted one thing from the Capitol. She opted for elven ears. She her ears taper to a point at the top.

Artemis is not one for lengthy conversations. Though she is not the quiet type. She just says what she needs to say in the least amount of words possible. She isn't one for idle chitchat either.

Which is funny because she is actually a popular person. But she isn't close to anyone but her brothers, who protect her like their own child.

She is highly intelligent however. She was always the top student in the class. Biology being her favorite, just like her father. She doesn't havet he steady hand to go into medicine like her mother. Though she doesn't like being cooped up in a lab all day. She enjoys running through the district, and she is the fastest runner in her year.

Growing up without a mother and in the care of her two older brothers has left Artemis without any womenly charms. She is more likely to be having a footrace with the neighborhood boys than worrying about the ribbons in her hair like other girls. She is a total tomboy and she just doesn't see what is wrong with that.

The tale of the Finn family would be the stuff of legends, well the rest of the populace wish it was. But its sadly not.

Max and Athena Finn were two young kids in the District Academy when they fell in love. Athena's mother was able to smuggle a book of Greek mythology before the library was burned down and from that she named her daughter for the goddess of wisdom. That book would become one of Artemis' favorites.

Max worked in the muttations division and Athena went into medicine. They were married and they quickly had a set of twin boys followed by Artemis.

The family wasn't the richest in the district, but they weren't as poor as they could have been either. Due to her fathers best muttations being involved in some of the Hunger Games. So they were given a rather large apartment in the center of town. Enough bedrooms for each child to have their own bedroom. And they never went without food.

That didn't save them from tragedy however. It was right before the Hunger Games, her father was working on a new muttations, and something in the lab went wrong. He was caught on the wrong side of the door during the lockdown and he was killed.

The family was taken to the capitol for the funeral. It was a day Artemis would never forget. She was only 5 at the time. The family's life changed after that. Artemis' mother was taken to the capitol on some assignment, and the children were left to their own devices.

Romulus and Ares went into medicine like their mother and the family was allowed to stay in the apartment. So Artemis grew up without both of her parents. Her mother never returned from the capitol. And on her tenth birthday they received word that she had died. No other details were given.

Her brothers were more upset than she was, because they were older and could remember her. Artemis was upset, but simply because her mother was dead.
