Alana Burwell: District 4

Alana is known for her bright blue eyes and long brown hair.
She is very skinny, due to the lack of food she suffers from. Her skin is neither tan nor pale; it is right in between. People say she has a beautiful smile. Her face is somewhat rounded, with a strong jaw and cheekbone. She does not have any acne (I've heard that salt water helps with acne, so being in D4, I just assumed that no one had much.) She has a scar extending from the back of her right knee to her mid-calf, which she got from a fire when she was seven. She usually covers it up with her boots and pants. She doesn't like for people to see it.
Alana is about 5'3" and weighing in at about 100 lbs.

Alana is very outgoing. She is very daring, but also very responsible. She is very protective of her younger sister, Athena.
Alana is very independent and does not easily accept help from people. When she was seven , her house burned down and she severely burned the back of her right calf. Alana's older brother's Daniel and David and her father taught her to be tough and strong-willed. He also taught her how to fish and swim.
She is a terrible public speaker, and when she does she has a problem with stuttering. She is very affectionate towards the ones she loves. Alana is hardworking and can stand up for herself. As I said before, Alana is very independent. Meaning that is you try to help her or do anything for her, she may snap at you or get an attitude. Also, being a dare-devil like she is, she gets into a lot of trouble and danger.

BACKGROUND/CHILDHOOD
When Alana was seven, her house burned to the ground, killing both her parents and causing a scar on her right calf. She grew up in the Seam of District Four. After her parents died, her grandfather took care of them. He died four years later, leaving Alana and Athena in the care of their older brother, Edric. Edric raised her since she was only eleven years old. He basically taught her how to provide for a family, in case one day he is gone and/or can no longer provide for them.

FAMILY
Alana is the middle child in the Burwell family. Her older brother, Edric, is 21 years old. Her younger sister, Athena, is eleven. Her parents were killed in a fire when she was seven years old. She lived with her grandfather after the tragedy until he died four years later. Once he died, Edric began caring for her and Athena.

CAREER
Alana is a fisher. She fishes with her older brother Edric. They sell their catchings to the merchants in town to get money for their family.

ADDITIONAL
Alana hopes that neither her nor her sisters name is called for the Games. She knows that being in District Four, she should want to go voluntarily, but thats not the case for her. She wants to stay and be with her family. This may sound selfish, but she prays everyday that she won't be called.
