Ryleigh Valence, District 6

Standing straight up, Ryleigh is 5'2", not particularly the tallest person in the world. She is well-fed, at an average weight for her height. She has chestnut brown hair running slightly past her shoulders, usually having some sort of clip to hold her bangs out of her face. She has a hair curl near her left ear, which she absolutely hates. Ryleigh has amber green eyes and thin eyelashes, which makes her self-conscious.

Her skin is that of the olive complexion, and her lips are of average size, slightly light coral colored. On her left hand, she has a burn mark from touching the engine of her father's motor experiments when she was 3 years old.

She enjoys wearing very basic clothing, such as a simple worn down tee-shirt and some of her father's old trousers when she begins to work on engines in her garage. When in public, her mother requires her to wear her hair pulled back and held in place with a purple headband. Her normal outer wear consists of a black skirt with leather tights under the skirt, boots, and a purple blouse, usually covered with a black coat during the cooler months.

Ryleigh had always been that of a shy person, finding that expressing her feelings is incredibly difficult. She seems to get flustered extremely easily, and hates speaking to other boys. She is seem to fall under the category of a "tsundere".

Ryleigh takes pride in her studies and intelligence, believing that brains definitely holds a place over brawns. She is quiet in person, but her thoughts speak loud, often being a critic of everything and everyone. She is not trusting of anyone except her family and the Capitol.

Ryleigh's deadly flaw is that she over-analyzes every situation. She has a fear of speaking to people in case they may possibly reject her. She is always deep in thought, being sure that what she says is exactly what she wishes to express.

Coming from a well-supported family, Ryleigh is a well-educated student, always striving to do well in school. Her father is one of the major engineers of her area in District 6, and she holds him in high regards for that. Ryleigh holds much animosity for her mother, however, because of an affair she held with one of her father's co-workers.

Ryleigh is a faithful follower of the Capitol, although she have spark moments when she believes people are unjustly punished. Her father always reassures her that the Capitol is simply looking out for them (his job does depend on their success).

She is a single child with a strong bond to her father. Her grandfather was known as one of the better engineers of his time, bringing pride to the family name. Her father was disappointed when he found out his wife was pregnant with a baby girl, but after 16 years, Ryleigh proved herself a worthy student on the arts of engineering and transportation.

Her favorite color is purple.
