Travis Summers is a 16-year-old boy with golden blonde hair

[/color] and plain blue eyes. He has a slight double chin that can only be seen when people look very closely. Physically, Travis resembles his mother in a manly way with his golden blonde hair and plain blue eyes but unlike him, his mother didn't have a slight double chin.

"You got that chin from me, Travis.", his father would say. "Your mother has everything else."

Travis is also an unusual skin color that is in between olive and fair. He is about 5"11 feet tall and is slightly muscular. Although, Travis is slightly muscular and strong-looking, he tends to get muscle cramps when he swims, causing him to paddle like a dog in the ocean. Travis often gets hair fall to. He finds it annoying and doesn't understand why some of his hair strands fall everyday so he tries his best not to pay much attention to it.


Travis is also buff from all of the swimming but overall, he is a skinny and muscular person. Travis grows a mustache every few days so he often shaves it to make himself look clean. He also has a deep voice which scares people when he talks unexpectedly.

"AAHHH! ..... Oh, hi Travis!"

He has broad shoulders and a bony body. People of his district often call him "The boy who never eats"[/color]although he eats a lot of food... especially fish..

"I love fish! Who doesn't love fish?"[/i][/center][/size]

Travis is a shy boy who often wears a hat to show off his mysterious side. Everyone in his school often calls him "The shy guy who wears a hat."

"Hey, it's Travis Summers! Cap boy!"
"We prefer calling him 'The shy boy who wears a hat'"

He used to be a happy boy with a content life until an accident when he was 9 happened. After that, he became the distant, quiet and shy guy who always wore a hat.
"What happened to the old Travis?"
"Don't mind him. He hasn't gotten over that tragic accident 7 years ago."

Travis rarely acts confident except on rare occasions or whenever he feels like it. He is friendly towards the people who are close to him but acts mysterious to the people he barely talks to. He strongly despises fire due to the same incident that happened when he was just 9 years old.

"Fire is disgusting. It makes me sick. Even by the thought of it, I wanna throw up already."

Although he is considered one of the "best looking kids" in his district, Travis does not show much interest on girls. He never really understood what it was like to fall in love or at least develop feelings for another person.

"Travis Summers is single right?"
"Get your hopes up, he's Mr. Shy Boy."

Travis is also terrible in expressing his feelings because after his father's remarriage he began isolating himself from everything else. Travis is also secretive and at the same time, quite smart. Travis also has one belief in his life and that is,

"Don't walk as if you rule the world, walk as if you don't care who rules the world."

Travis only has one way to express his feelings. On rare occasions, when he doesn't really know what to do in the tornado that he calls his life, he goes to the grave where both his mother and his sister were buried in. A few inches away from their grave, Travis digs a hole where he hides his "My-personal-thoughts-that--no-one-else-but-me-could-see" [/color] notebook. In their, he writes about all of the things that happens in his life and all the events that happen.

Dear mom, dear sister...

After writing, he buries them nearby his mother and sister's grave because in this way he feels that both his mother and sister are listening to him even though they aren't with him at the moment.

"They may not be with me right now, nut I know they're out there.. listening to me..."[/center][/size]

Travis has a very long and dramatic past. He lived with his father Samuel, his mother Mariana and his little sister Olivia. They were a happy family with a satisfying life.

[/color] On regular days, Travis and Olivia would go to school while their mother and father both fish in the ocean and after school, both of the siblings rush to the ocean and help their parents.

"Mom and dad would leave early even before we're awake and they would go to the ocean and fish. Olivia and I would usually wake up and find breakfast on the table. We eat then we leave for school. At the end of the day, if we have time, we go to the shore and help. When day falls and night rises, we'll have food at home."

Their source of livelihood was the fishing which explains why Travis was very fond of fish just like everyone in District 4.

When Travis was 9, while both of his parents were away, he was in charge of watching over his little sister. While Travis was slowly falling asleep while watching little Olivia play, his little sister accidentally caught their house on fire by dropping a candle on a blanket. Both his mother and his father were nearby the shore while Travis and Olivia were both stuck up and surrounded by the fiery red, burning flames. When the word reached Mariana through a neighbor, she immediately rushed home to save them. When Mariana arrived, they were almost burning themselves. There was no way out but she knew Travis was good at escaping from situations like these. She encouraged him to go out and call for help but he was so reluctant in leaving them. Yet, his mother kept insisting. As soon as Travis managed to escape and call for help, it was too late... their entire house was burned down..

"It was all my fault. If only I went a little bit faster, everything would've been okay. I don't remember much about what happened but I could recall the image of flames and my last conversation with my mother..."

"Travis call for help!"
"NO! I'm not leaving without you!"
"Trust me, we'll be fine. Just be quick."

"..I ran as fast as I could. Screaming and crying that our house was on fire, but when help came.. our house was nothing but a pile of ashes." [/color]

After three years, Samuel remarried a woman named Liliana which lead to Travis having a step sister named Irisa. Irisa happens to be fond of fire which causes a rivalry between both of them. Travis and Irisa both believe that they have nothing in common because Irisa is an overconfident lady who thinks that everything revolves around her.

"She pisses me off. She's so full of herself. She can't stop playing with matches, and she always gets father to listen to her."[/i]

Travis tends to hate his father because he seems to be fond of Irisa more than his own son but secretly his father loves him very much. Although Travis and Irisa really hate each other guts, Travis cares about her and hopes that someday they'll both mature and learn to treat each other more like siblings.

"Maybe not now, but someday. We'll learn to treat each other right."[/i]
