Bladen Logan Valentine District 2

Bladen is a monstrosity of a boy standing at 6’4, so he is generally always looking down at people. He has broad shoulders and is muscular from years of difficult training. He has dark brown hair which has a single red streak running through it. He generally styles his hair up in a fohawk. His eyes are his most striking feature even though he hates them. One of his eyes is a clear icy blue while the other is a dark emerald green. His eyes are the first thing people usually notice about him besides his size. They always seem to have a look of intimidation rippling across their surface though which tends to frighten people. He has a chiselled jaw line that most find attractive. He has this aura of intimidation and hostility that surrounds him which generally keeps people at bay. He has slightly thinner lips, but they suit the bone structure of his face.

He has a scar that runs the length of his temple that was given to him by his father. His scar stands out against his lightly tanned skin making it very noticeable. He is generally seen wearing training attire as that is what his entire life is centered around. He always carries around a knife with him which he keeps in his boot. His knife is his most valued possession and has his last name Valentine inscribed into the blade. He has what you would call an intimidating attractiveness.

Bladen has a cold hostile outer shell. He is notorious for pushing people away as he doesn’t want to get close to anyone. He prefers to be on his own because he thinks this way nobody can hurt him, so he won’t have to retaliate and hurt them back. He is not afraid to hurt someone either physically or mentally. He knows how to twist his words around to get into someone’s head. It’s not that he enjoys manipulating people; it’s just his defense mechanism.

He is extremely defensive about almost every aspect of himself. He hates when people ask him about either his family, or his scar. He doesn’t see the value in opening up to someone and letting them into his life. His mindset is he has gone through his entire life basically on his own, so why should he change that? He is a very determined person and will not stop till he reaches his goals. Once he has his eyes set on something he won’t stop till he gets what it is he’s aiming for and doesn’t care if it will have a positive or negative outcome.

Bladen is hostile to the extreme. He always has anger boiling in his blood even when he was young. He cannot explain this anger, but wishes more than anything else that it would release its hold on him. Due to his aggressive and hostile nature it does not take much to aggravate him. He has no issues about getting into fights as he is confident in his abilities. He has never lost a fight before which gives him a high sense of pride.

His greatest flaw however is his temper. Once someone or something sets him off it takes allot to calm him down. It does take allot to get him to this stage of blind fury, but when in this state his mind set is snap necks first ask questions later. He will act rashly when he is in this state as his mind almost blurs over and he no longer sees clearly. He has a hard time controlling himself when he gets to the highest stage of his anger and this tends to lead to drastic consequences.

He hates unnecessary attention being drawn to him. He doesn’t like have so many people’s eyes on him as this makes him feel venerable. He tries to keep the feeling of numbness tingeing his existence to keep the feeling of venerability at bay. As much as he tries to appear emotionless his eyes always betray him. His emotions can always be seen flickering across the surface of his eyes, but always quickly disappear; so people are able to see how he truly feels if only for the briefest of moments. He also has a habit of being brutally honest and speaks without thinking. He doesn’t see the consequences that his words could lead to.

He does have a softer side however. Bladen is an artist and uses his paintings as a means to escape from the world. Nobody knows that he paints and if they did he would most likely never show them his work. This would be because he has serious trust issues hence why he pushes people away. These issues were brought on by being abandoned by his mother at a young age. He acts like this is no big deal to him, but it affected how he developed as he grew up. He wants to find someone who he can connect with, but is too afraid of getting close with anyone.

Bladen was born to be raised as a natural born killer. His father only wanted a victor which is why he wanted a child. He has trained Bladen since the time he was able to walk. He has trained him to sharpen his senses to an almost inhuman degree. His father doesn’t care about having a son all he cares about is having a victor in the family.

Bladen had two younger siblings Torrance and Ophelia who are twins, but he hasn’t seen them since he was eight. His parents always would fight as his mother hated the way his father treated him like nothing more than a lamb getting ready to be sent to slaughter. His mother always talked about leaving and one night she did. She took Bladen’s younger siblings and left leaving him behind. Nobody knows the reasons as to why she left Bladen behind. This is the result of his trust issues.

Once his mother left his father only got worse. He turned to alcohol and became abusive. Bladen’s father is even larger than he is and easily overpowers him. If Bladen doesn’t do well enough in his training his father will take things to the extreme. There are cases that Bladen has nearly been beaten to death and it is a miracle he is still breathing.

The scar that runs the length of his temple is the result of his father’s first violent outburst. Bladen was only eight at the time and didn’t fully understand why his father was taking all of his frustration out on him. Bladen has the same color eyes as his mother did and his father couldn’t stand this. He attempted to cut out Bladen’s eyes, but being drunk he missed and ended up slicing open his temple instead. Now his father tells him if he doesn’t stay in line he will receive more scars that he will make sure hit their target.

However when he reached the age of fifteen there was one person that he did get close to her name was Cordelia Lenox. She was a quiet girl who was the only one who would put up with Bladen’s hostile nature. She was able to coax him out of his shell and he felt safe around her. Cordelia’s older brother had gotten mixed up into some gang related activity and had fallen into debt. The gang he was involved with went after Cordelia as a way to make her brother listen. Bladen was with her at the time and basically he watched his only friend get raped and brutally murdered. After this he tries even harder to stay away from people. At school he keeps to himself and anyone who gets too close he tries to scare off.

The knife Bladen carries around with him is his most prized possession and will not allow anyone to touch it. If anyone does he will instantly turn defensive and try to snatch it back.
