With a Yawn I rise from bed and walk over to the vanity mirror in my room. I stare at the man in the mirror, and I smile.

Delmar is what you would think of when you heard the word career. He is tall standing 6 feet and 1 or 2 inches, and weighs 180 pounds. In other words he is a "big boy"
As Delmar believes it is best to start from the bottom up.
Feet: Delmar has average sized feet for a kid of his size, which he takes care of on the shores of their district. He believes he owes himself to look good so he makes a daily habbit of going down to the beach for some personal grooming.
Legs: Delmar's legs are nicley muscled from swimming with his crew during the easy work hours of the day. While he can swim like a fish he suffers a limp from a uneccesary rough beating he took while in the care of the community home at a young age. He tries to overlook this imperfection as he strives for perfection, by working out every day at the gymnasium to compensate for a break that wont mend.
Torso: Delmar is not heavily muscled but he is on his way, his torso is broad and thick from the days spent in the gymnasium trying to keep his emotions in check. His body suffers from many scars from many beatings in the commuinity home. Some are not more then a week old some go back to the age of five. He is not a quick learner. These scars on his back have led to a thick line of tissue that makes it difficult to bend in certain directions.
Arms: Delmars pride and joy, he loves the envious look of the careers who have families, letting him know he has something that they don't. His arms are thick muscled from constant work in the gym, fishing, and swimming.
Face: Delmar loves his looks except when it comes to his head. He has a slightly to big head for his body and so desperatly tries to bridge this divide by bulking up his body.... his body hasnt caught up yet.
Eyes: Being a tad of a narciscist Delmar can stare into his eyes for hours and still get lost in himself. But behind his bright green eyes if you catch him in the right light he looks broken. Years of neglect and pain have crushed his spirit and the spark of life is barly there.
Hair: Blonde doesnt mean he is stupid regardless to what the comunity workers say to him. His head is covered in this golden fur, in a medium length that he likes to spike with the mixture of seaweed and fish oil that the apothacarey man had made for him.

Clothing: Delmar wears tight fitting clothes so he can show off his body that he has pride in. He wears tight jeans, to a brightly colored tee usually pink. He dares anyone to say something so he can show them that his muscles arnt just for show.
For footwear Delmar goes with his brown army style hand-me-downs that a peacekeeper had donated to the community home.

Personality:

Delmar has many friends, when growing up in the hostile world of panem you have to, but when you live in a community home of a district in panem it becomes a survival skill.

Due to his long and difficult life in the community home Delmar has made many friends, most are just people he shared a hiding spot with escaping the angry hands of the community workers. You would think that these relations would blossom but only a few have. Delmars childhood raised him to go by a golden rule " look out for number one" so he has become a vain self centered child. He will throw anyone under the bus to save himself from the most minor of harm. Still after the mistreating of his "friends" they still come back. When all you've known is a life of pain a little more isnt going to stop you from coming back.

Delmar was not like this when he first arrived in panem. He was kind and the best person to be around despite his frightening background. This made him an obvious target for the community home workers. They soon broke him and he is now at the level right above being broken.

Delmar can on occasion be kind if you catch him in the right mood, but that is the rare occasion. The odds are greater that the entire ocean will freeze over. And it has, the ocean is Delmar, and while he is deep and full of life he has hidden this all within himself by a layer of ice. His heart is closed and he reveals his darker side. "Without love man cannot survive" Delmar only needs to find some warmth, compassion, or a drive to free his true self from his icy prison.......

Delmar is cruel arrogant and vain all can be thanked for by the community home. He also harbors a feeling of hopelessness as if things can get nowhere worse. At the same time though Delmar is not going wristcutter on anyone.

Delmars life starts with a poor mother and father, although in a "weathier" district thier luck managed to get them stuck in the low poverty. They were overjoyed to have brought this baby into the world, but as fate would have it they could not afford to take care of this child. Delmar was with them for 3 weeks before the financial burden became overwhelming. Instead of taking him to the community home to live a harsh life they would have to see everyday they decided they would place him on the shore of the ocean as the tide rose. So in the middle of the night they snuck out and with much sorrow they managed to turn thier backs on poor baby Atheaos , his name to them. As they walked away they tried not to think of the tide that would soon engulf thier helpless babe.......

But fate had another plan for Atheaos, as the tide slowly began to lap at the heels of Atheaos with its icy tounge a peacekeeper happened to walk along looking for a quiet place to smoke. His eyes fell upon the strange bundle on the wet shore that was Atheaos. The peacekeepers first thought was to leave the baby where it was. This was someone elses problem. So he turned and began to walk away, as he was walking he could only think of his son back home. Instead the peacekeeper decided he would deliver this child to the community home. hundreds turn up every week he thought. As he walked babe in arms he gave the baby the name Delmar and the rest is history.....

If only Delmar had died that night he might have escaped the horrid community home.

He grew up as most did in the home, but him and a few others were the rare few who didnt break, but more then once almost did. Delmar at his young age wished for a family, that one day a father and mother would take him home... it was wasted wishes on wishless stars.

So he did the only thing he could do to rid himself of his feelings he worked out at the gym center, long and hard. till the only thing he could feel was the ache of his muscles. He grew up gaining friends and enemies alike, it will be one more year till he is kicked out of the home, 1 more year to make something of himself........
