Alexia Simmons: District 5

Long, brunette hair graces a fairly narrow face, her nose is wide at the base but narrows fairly quickly. When she smiles her entire face almost as a lift to it, normally though her full lips are turned down slightly in a demeaning frown, her eyes are her prettiest facial feature, they almost glow when a plan is forming, average sized and are a icy, piercing blue, almost grey and transparent in colour

Certainly she has a figure to be proud of, this is due to her plentiful excersise rather than a lucky quality to be naturally skinny. The one downside to this exercise are the slight muscles on her arms, she hates these as she considers them ugly. Down past her arms though she is well proportioned, her legs are skinny all the way down to her calves, her feet are slim as well, and are often found in flat shoes that show off her legs. The one other thing she hates is her lack of fashionable clothing, coming from a family full of boys means fashion really isn't evident in her life, generally she is seen in her brother's old shirts and a pair of fairly smart trousers though she does own a few of her own clothes. Tall enough to consider herself grown-up but not much more, Alexia graces 5’6, this is tall enough for her as long as she wears heels to formal events.

There are certainly three words that could be used easily to describe her personality; bossy, mean and cautious. As bossy as she is to others she has gradually learned to contain some of this and has let others lead on occasion, a natural born leader though, she would easily manage to keep things the way they need to be. However this bossiness can get her in trouble, often she will continue to try and lead those who refuse to be led and has come across others who are bigger than her, stronger than her and just plain louder than her and then she has come under pressure.

Plus there is the mean streak, ultimately she will judge you in the moment she meets you and if you are someone she effectively dislikes she will not treat you as her equal. Of course there are the people she takes an instant liking for, an affection that will forever last, if you are one of these people she will treat you well forever, not without her drawbacks but she will at least make sure her friends are happy.

Being cautious has got her far in many ways, quick to judge but also quick to put her barriers up she will deflect almost all personal questions that might mean she has to show a part of herself. This means she saves herself before opening up, even if this means people dislike her for it. She is also slow to go into life-long friendships let alone relationships, any person who wants to get along with her in any way has to allow her to have her own space first. This can put her under pressure to appear to be more than she is, she can seem isolated, suspicious and uncaring but truthfully she just doesn’t want anyone else to see the real her.

Alexia had a fairly lucky childhood, she had two parents who gave her everything and three older brothers, as the only girl she got pretty spoiled. Having her older brothers gave her more confidence as well. Nicholas was eight when his sister was born and then there were the five year old twins Andrew and Benjamin, the three brothers teased their sister but protected her as she grew up. This meant that by the time she got to school she had to learn quickly how to protect herself, when she got to about eight years old she realised that the easiest way to do this was just to put on act of selfishness, nobody went against the brave, selfish girl who bossed everyone else around.

However all too soon this became how she actually acted, before too long most of the quiet little girl that her family knew and loved had been replaced by a self-rightous girl who sat on her own high hourse, she was just waiting to be pulled down. When Alexia was twelve her oldest brother moved out of the family home to get married and one more income was lost to them all, her parents were pretty well to do, they were from a good enough District to have enough money to keep them afloat but the extra brought in my Nicholas had certainly served them well.

Suddenly Alexia realised she had to grow up and mature, with just her and her brothers left in the house Alexia was shattered by the loss of the only grandparent she had ever known when she was thirteen. Now she decided that she would do as much as she could to distance herself from everyone else she knew, her coping mechanism involved morning and afternoon runs – before and after school – soon enough she was wracking up the distance and is now a well known figure during her runs.
