Alyssa Jennings Dsitrict 3

Alyssa has very long, straight fair hair, that she usually keeps loose. She has magnificant blue eyes, which are almost always filled with sadness, and a small nose. She stands at 5"8, and weighs 120 pounds. She nice smile, which she rarely shares with anyone. She has a pale complextion, and small ears. her arms are long, and well as her legs. Her torso isn't long, but it isn't short either.

Alyssa usually wear long pants, and sweaters or long sleeved shirts, becuase of all the bruises and marks, from her drunken father.She has a slight frame due to the lack of food in her home.Her hands and arms are covered in scars from burns she got from years of trying to cook for herself (becuase her father was too drunk or not home,and her brother was either at school, or running errands) and being too little to know what she was doing.

Alyssa is very drawn back, and shy. She doesn't like to be around people, becuase she is afraid. She has almost no friends, not becuase she cant make them, but because she doesn't want them.the only exeption is her older brother, Matt, who she can trust with anything. She is terrified of people being angry with her, and people yelling at her.

Alyssa backs away from anyone who is stronger or faster than her, and anyone else for that matter. She gets pushed around sometimes in school by some of the other kids. Alyssa is afraid of her father, but at the same time she loves him dearly.Every night he goes out and drinks untill he is so dunk he can barley walk. He sometimes comes home so drunk he doesn't remeber her, hence all her bruises and marks.

Alyssa loves the sound of birds, the smell of freshly cut grass, and the colour blue. She dislikes cloudly days, drinking warm water, and the colours grey, brown, and black. Some of the things she likes to do, are reading, singing, painting, and watching white fluffy clouds go by. She likes to go to the feild, far out where almost no one is around, and be by herself, and listen to the sounds of nature. This is the one place she feels safe, and happy.

Aylssa's mother,Lauryn, took off when she was 5 and her brother was 11. Her father started drinking emediatly after, and was never the same. Alyssa's brother, Matt, took care of her after that, and has been very protectave over her ever since. Matt and Alyssa have always been very close, and when they were younger, they did everything together. They were almost never apart. Untill Matt turned 18 and their father forced him out of the house. This was when Alyssa became comletley drawn back, and queit. Matt comes to visit her alot, but he can never stay long, becuase he has to work.

The fist time her father ever hit her, was when she was 7. She was carrying a glass of water and her small hands weren't strong enough to hold it, and she dropped it, scattering bits of glass everywhere. Her father then jumped up, yelled at her, and struck her across the face. Alyssa ran from her house, and kept on running. This was the day she found her Feild. The nice green grass, the flowers, the birds. She felt safe, and as if no one could ever find her. She lay in that feild for hours, just looking at the clouds, and listening to the sounds of mockingjays bounce their melodies back and forth.

Alyssa has never lost anyone due to the Hunger Games, but her brothers name is in so many times this year, she is worried he will be reaped. If Matt were to be reaped into the Games, Alyssa's whole world would fall apart, and she would have no one..
