Jonathan (or Jon) is an average looking kid. He is about average height with short brown hair. Considering he spends most of his time indoors, he has a very pale complexion. He is 5'5, and a stout 180 lbs. Although he has a bit of a gut, a lot of his weight is natural muscle, even though he never works out.

Although he does not live with his parents, his grandmother makes sure that he can afford nice clothes, so he has a nice style. He dresses like the average teen in District 1, with nice t-shirts and jeans. Although he is naturally muscular, you can tell he isn't athletic. This is because he stays inside mostly. He has never played any sports so he does not look like an athlete at all.

Personality:

Jon has always been somewhat of a control freak. He loves to be the boss of things. However, the big tough front he puts on is just that. He often lacks the abilities to back those big fronts, making him more of a wannabe than anything else. Although he is only 13, he has already started running with one of the gangs in District 1, partly because his parents followed the same life.

The gang life suits Jon very well. Most of the gang members are angsty teens like himself. Although he prefers to be inside glued to the TV and all of the fancy entertainment that his grandmother has, he will occasionally go hang with his friends and fellow gang members. He is well liked throughout the gang because his father was a member for a long time, until he ran away from District 1, causing Jon a lot of hard times. However, Jon has long since moved on, becoming an extremely independent young man, depending on no one except his friends.

Jon does not have many problems, and even less that he shares. One problem he has, however, is his mother. They do not live with each other and rarely speak. But he loves her an indescribable amount. It absolutely kills him to watch her live on the poor side of District 1, where she doesn't have much at all. A personal goal of his is to make enough money to bring her out of poverty.

History:

Jon lives with his grandmother, which he loves very much. However, the changes that his parents brought into his life changed him on an astronomical level. When he was younger, his father abandoned him and his mother, and District 1 altogether. He ran away from One to never be seen again. He's heard some nasty rumors around that he was killed for running away. Or made into an Avox. Some say that he was a drug kingpin. But Jon can't remember any of that. He just remembers the pain that his father left him.

His mother became very quiet and secretive after his father left. She visits Jon on a regular basis, but she is almost a completely different person. He once overheard his grandmother talking to a friend about his mother, saying that she was deemed mentally unstable, so she took in her child so that he could be raised right. He loves his mother, and constantly worries about her. He would give anything to return to the way that it used to be.

Jon started running with gangs not too long ago, right after his 13th birthday. To him, the gang is not bad at all. They are a family to him, a family that he hasn't known since he was just a boy. He would do absolutely anything for them. After all, he needed that father figure in his life. Although the gang has had several run ins with the law (the worst being an incident where 7 of them were shot and killed, including the leader), Jon feels that the gang always does the right thing. Although he tries to stay away from the illegal activities.
