Tori Miller - District 2

As far as looks were concerned, Tori had it all. She looks like a model. She is a tall 5'10, with long legs and a beautiful smile that is often called her best feature. She is not fat, although she has beautiful curves, and a gorgeous tan complexion. She has shoulder length brown hair, deep brown eyes, and a large, broad forehead, one of her only physical flaws.

At first glance, she looks like an athlete, possibly even a Career. However, she is far from a Career or an athlete due to a disability she was born with. Although the disability isn't quite visible, you can see it if you pay very close attention to her reactions and how she walks because of extremely bad balance. She was born one hundred percent deaf. Tori, being from a rich District Two family, had it fixed soon after birth, but it still affects her occasionally.

Although some of her jealous peers say she is stuck up and rude, she is not at all. She always tries to treat everyone with respect, something that she feels everyone should have, as long as they deserve it. She believes the Hunger Games are an atrocity, and refuses to watch it at all. In fact, her dream is that one day she and all of the other teens of Panem can stop living in fear. She can't even stand watching animals die, let alone human beings.

She has never been very bright. Partly because of her hearing disability and partly because she is just a bit airheaded. She has always struggled in school, even though she recieves special education due to her disability. It's one of the things that embarasses her the most, and she absolutely hates talking about it. Every time someone even jokes with her about being dumb, she cries. Which she hates as well. She wishes she could be rock solid and emotionless. But she cannot; she wears her emotions on her sleeve.

Despite her problems, she recieves a number of suitors. However, it's not really a surprise because she is drop dead gorgeous and has a kind heart as well. However, it never seems to work out. Another dream of hers is to meet a nice guy who she can fall in love with. She wants to start a family, and raise her kids to be the most fabulous people in District 2. Not victors. Not killers. But people known for kindness and empathy.

Tori's life has definitely had it's ups and downs. She has never struggled with anything she needed or wanted. Never need to take tessera. However, her parents splitting up affected her, especially when she found out her father was unfaithful to her mother. She lives with her mother now, keeping minimal contact with her father.

She had a hard childhood due to her hearing disability. She remembers getting her hearing aids upgraded around the time she was 4. She started crying because she could finally hear the water outside when it rained. It was the happiest moment of her life. Although it continues to hamper her, she is just thankful that it isn't as bad as it once was.

Tori has always been an animal lover. Her mother and younger sister always have a yardful of cats and dogs. She is always feeding them and playing little games with them. She could never kill an animal, and if she was made to it would kill her on the inside. She doesn't understand how someone could kill something so defenseless. It isn't fair at all. And it's yet another thing that makes her cry.
