Marin Hartig District 3

Tall skinny teenager, the last thing that Marin cares about are his clothes. Picking the usual blue jeans and an old t-shirt he can't impress you at all. Blue eyes and blond hair had been passed through generations in the Harting family. For no surprise Marin took his father's skin.

The most important thing that he owns is old USB flash that he carries on his neck, that seemingly useless equipment reminds him of his long gone mother. Fitness or any kind of physical exercise was another thing that weren't on Marin’s to do list. Even though he was the tallest in his class he was one of the skinniest.

His blond hair was covering his ears. He doesn’t like wearing any kind of hats or other things that would cover his head or hair. He had some small not proportional hands that helped him work faster with electronics. He had no beard or a moustache maybe because he was too young or maybe because he didn’t like to grow yet. Marin disliked all people with tattoos he was afraid of them.

The blond boy spent most of his free time indoors tinkering his father’s computer or solving all kinds of puzzles, unless he had to take care for the family’s shop when his father was working in the other districts. That helped his social skills. He has some problems talking to females especially girls at his age. For some reasons he always had problems communicating with them and most of the time they made him blush. He didn’t know why they always stayed in groups and laugh so much.

On the other hand he was very skilled with all kind of gadgets especially the electrical ones. From the age of 6 he had to help in his father’s shop when the old man was going in different districts to help with the electronics there. Marin had never left district 3 even though his father has promised him to take him when he grows older.

Marin showed no interest in the hunger games and in pretty much anything that didn't concern him. But he wouldn't refuse to help anyone if they needed asked him. That was one of the little things he remembers about his mother. He sometimes cries in bed when he think about her or his life from time to time he wants to have a close friend with whom he can talk about his problems. But whatever happens he know that he can’t show his emotion in the public. You are aider strong or dead this is the wall of Panem.

The death of his mother changed the life of the family. The father blamed himself about not being rich enough and promised to himself that no matter what he will never leave his son without money. Living with only one parent who travelled a lot Marin learned how to care about himself.

In school Marin had very few friends and usually got bullied a lot. So he learned how to avoid troubles no matter what. Marin wasn't good at most of the subjects except math and physics. One of his hobbies is playing chess In fact he is very good at it.

Sports are one of the things Marin disliked a lot if he had a good day he could skip the pointless efforts. But when he was forced to participate he gives his best. Another important thing about Marin is his motto "never underestimate your opponent".
