Chase Pack District 6

Height: 5' 7"
Weight: 185 lbs.

He is a relatively short boy for his age. Looking at his height and weight most would think him a short fat kid, but this isn't the case. His arms, legs, and chest are practically all muscle. He can't ever seem to get those elusive abs. No matter how much he tries, he always has a very small amount of fat on his stomach.

He has a very attractive face with the exception of a scar which forms a crescent on his left cheek. It's faded with age and the scar tissue is barely noticeable, but Chase still usually tries to cover part of his scar with his hair.

He has medium length dark brown hair. His hairstyle is usually dictated by the scar. His eyes are a greyish blue shade and he hates them. They seem to always look cold even when he is happy. His eyes also usually betray his thoughts, Someone can usually tell if he is happy or sad just by his eyes (they also tell his other emotions e.g. love anger etc.) His nose is slightly smaller than normal, but it's hardly noticeable.

Chase is a smart boy. His thoughts don't consist of the thoughts of an average 15 year old though. He likes to ponder the secrets of life. Often times he can be found sitting somewhere shady just thinking.

Don't let this fool you though. He isn't socially awkward. He is very funny, and has a great sense of humor, though this sense of humor can sometimes make him sound like a jerk. He is also charming, and a very fun person to be around, as long as you are his friend. He is a thorn in the side of those he doesn't like. He will go out of his way to make them mad and ruin there day. The good thing about Chase though is that he loves to make new friends, and he is quick to forgive his enemies. This is not always a good thing as one can easily imagine.

Chase trusts everyone. He will trust someone until they give him a reason not to, and occasionally even after they've given him reason not to trust them he will.

Chase has a dark side though. He knows how to fight, and has prepared himself mentally to kill. The same brain he uses to ponder life's secrets he can make into a weapon. He did this partially in case he was ever a tribute. Ever since he was 10 he has been preparing himself to take a life if necessary. Through doing this he hopes that he won't feel remorse if ever forced to kill in the games.

Jake was born on a cold winter day in District 6. His father was a scientist, and his mother was a teacher. Both his father and his mother encouraged him to think from a young age. He was given freedom as a child to roam about wherever he wished in the district as long as he didn't go anywhere or do anything illegal. Through this they hoped that he would meet different people, make friends, and hopefully wonder about some of the things he saw happening. They succeeded at achieving all three of these goals.

Chase was happy his for most of his young life, until he was 10. At age 10 his mother "Disappeared" mysteriously and never came back. Chase believes that the disappearance was no accident. He believed this was the work of the Capitol. He knew his mother had been spreading anti-Capitol ideas at school, and now the Capitol had gotten it's revenge.

Chase was never the same again. He would often retreat to places far off the beaten path where he would prepare himself to kill in the Arena if necessary. He was determined not to die at the Capitols hands as his mother had. He would make fake weapons out of wood, and would practice killing maneuvers on home made dummies. He also prepared himself mentally so that he wouldn't hesitate if the time came.

Now he continues his makeshift training. He doesn't do it as often now. He spends more time with friends now and enjoying life, and only training when he is made angry. He has many friends and has regained his positive outlook on life. He still lives with his father who teaches him many things ranging from science to general life skills. Occasionally he will help his father in the lab, but usually he can be found outside with his friends.
