Gotham Stiles(District 4) Done

The most noticeable feature on Gotham's body is his right arm. Crippled by a boating accident it hangs stiffly by his side and is the same length as his left but noticeably thinner. Aside from his right arm the rest of his body is muscular and well toned but in no way stocky. Although he's only 5'7 his slender body type makes him appear taller.

Tan skin and dark brown hair Gotham's face usually holds a serious expression. But on the rare occasion that he smiles dimples appear on both sides of his cheeks. He has a huge smile but most people never see it. His brown eyes are always attentive wanting to see everything at once. His eyebrows are set low and have no shape other than straight. He has a large forehead but that is barely noticeable thanks to his medium length hair that hangs in a a mess of knots and tangles.

Like most teens in district four Gothom is a hard worker and skilled fisher. He is serious and hardly ever smiles but this is common for teens living in Panem. Being that this is district four Gothom trained to be a career so, he used to throw his strength around in a cocky fashion. But, now he just strives to prove that he's still a force to be reckoned with. Gothom hates for people to look down on him and despite needing help at times, he will never admit it. He'd rather die trying than live and the hands of others. Gothom will never admit defeat and will accept any challenge no matter how difficult. 

When it comes to interacting with others his age Gothom tries his best to keep as many friends as he can and those that he has he treats them with loyalty and respect. He understands that being a likable person will help in the long run. But keeping friends isn't always easy for him as he is easily offended. Adults tend to see him as a person who never gives up. After the accident many thought he would be a burden on his father but Gothom proved otherwise. He carries his load around the house and tries his best to help his father.

Despite being cocky before his accident he was never a bully. He might have thought he was tougher than everyone but he never tested it. He just assumed he was stronger than everyone but now, he hungers to prove it. Easily upset anyone who angers him better be ready to fight. Even with only one hand nobody scares Gothom. He is overly confident of his capabilities. 

Born an abled bodied boy in District 4 Gothams "destiny" seemed to be set in stone. He would train to be a career and if he shined in training he would get the chance to enter the games. But things don't always go as planned.

Crea Stiles went into labor while her husband Everest was on deck of a large shrimping boat. The pregnancy was supposed to be routine but unforeseen complications changed everything. With Everest to far away to make the final call all efforts were put in place save the baby just as Crea had asked.

Everest returned home a widow and new father. Not quite sure of how to raise a son on his own Everest left the raising of Gothom in the hands of others. Because Gotham had been the reason that Crea had died many believed that it was a sign that he was destined to participate in the games. So since he could walk Gotham was in training to be part of the hunger games. Because he started training so young Gothom never knew what it was like to be starving. The district kept him well enough fed in order to keep his stregnths up.

It wasn't till after the accident did Gotham know what it was like to be hungry. Gotham was 14 when it happened. He had been challenged to sneak on a ship wait five minutes after it set sail and then attempt to swim back to shore. But a malfunction with the fishing net caused it to drop into the water just as Gothom was swimming towards shore. He tried to squirm free but his right arm was caught tangled up in the net. It took him down underwater and he fought to come free. If it hadn't been for the quick response of the crew on deck Gotham would have drowned but instead the net was lifted and Gothom with his arm still trapped in the net hung in excruciating pain.

It has been two years since the accident and since then he has grown accustomed with his disability. It hardly phases him that he can barely move his right arm since his left arm makes up for what his right arm can't do.
