Age: 17
Gender: Male
District/Area: District 4
Appearance:
Zane has icy blue eyes that generally send shivers down people’s spines if he looks directly at them. He always appears to be seeing through all; taking in everything and not missing a thing. His eyes are observant to the point where it is almost impossible for him to miss anything. He has dirty blonde hair that generally sticks up at odd angles, but this natural look suits him. Zane is tall standing at about 6’2 and has a decent build. He uses his size to increase the air of intimidation that looms around him. He has a scar that runs from just above his left eyebrow straight across his eye to midway down his cheek. This scar stands out against his lightly tanned skin as it is pale to the point where it almost looks chalk white.Personality:
He generally wears clothing that covers most of his skin. As he has scars covering almost every inch of his body most made unintentionally by himself. Some of these scars if looked at close enough spell out words such as monster. He has this threatening look about him that keeps most people away. Although his looks may be appealing the hostile energy that vibrates from his body just doesn’t make getting close to him worth it.
Zane is mentally unstable. As much as he tries to hide the fact that he has little control over his actions it is undeniable that there is something off about him. This is part of the reason he stays away from people. It also doesn’t help that he has terrible people skills. He always says the wrong thing and most of the time this is on purpose. He thrives on pushing people away and knows he is better off alone.History:
He is always observing; watching everything. Nothing gets past Zane, or the voices lurking in his head. He takes in every detail around him. He can easily read people and this frightens most people. This frightens himself to a degree. However he does use this to his advantage. By using people’s own words and actions against them he can normally drive them away. He doesn’t want people to see exactly what is wrong with him, so he drives them away before they get the chance.
Zane doesn’t have much control over his actions, or words. The voices in his head influence just about everything he does. This makes him fairly unpredictable. It is impossible for anyone to guess what next move Zane will make; half the time he doesn’t even know either. After years of hurting people he no longer feels remorse. He blames just about everything on the voices in his head and has started to believe all the twisted lies they feed him.
Zane’s biggest fear is himself and what he is capable of. This is a part of the reason why he tries so hard to push people away. It’s how he protects himself from further damage. In his mind he is only capable of causing harm to others and himself. He knows there is nothing he can do about hurting himself at the will of the voices, but if he can drive people away at least he can protect them from himself.
He has a strong hate towards himself. He thinks very poorly of himself and no matter what anyone else says will change his opinions about who he thinks he is. He knows he is a monster and he is slowly starting to accept this. He knows his greatest flaw would be how easily he would lose himself to his bloodlust. His craving to spill blood is something that is brought on by the voices, but again he is starting to believe that maybe these are his own thoughts. All of this has given him huge trust issues. He trusts no one including himself.
He knows the world is a cruel place, but he does however see the beauty in it. He spends almost all of him time outside as he feels less trapped this way. Zane is poetic and he spends allot of his time writing poetry. However almost all of his poems are dark and tinged with depression. Writing is his means of escape. While he writes he is able to keep the voices that haunt him at bay.
Zane is complex and is hurting more than anything else. He wants to escape from his own mind. He wishes more than anything else he could be someone else. He hates that he has to struggle to stay in control of his own mind. He doesn’t want to hurt, but he doesn’t have much of a choice. He has an air of mystery that surrounds him at all times as nobody knows much about the boy with the ice blue eyes.
As a child Zane was always reserved and kept mostly to himself. He never really wanted anything to do with the other children and just wanted to be alone, so he could write in peace. He always was different as he was constantly talking to himself, but nobody thought much of this until he got a little older. His father never liked the fact that Zane talked to himself as this showed that he had flaws. His father would verbally abuse him and this would soon turn into physical abuse.Codeword: oDair
Once the abuse started this is when the voices started to get worse. They would whisper sinister deeds into Zane’s head as they sought out to corrupt him. When Zane reached thirteen during one of his father’s beatings something in him snapped. He lashed out and ended up murdering his father. This is when his blood lust started to become apparent.
After this incident Zane was taken away from his family and placed in a mental institute. The treatments he had to endure there did nothing to help him, but only made things worse. Once he reached the age of sixteen the institute thought they had “cured” him of his disease as they saw it. His mother however wanted nothing to do with her son because she was afraid of him.
Ever since he was released from the institute he goes through periods of time where the voices completely take over. He either goes into a stage where he becomes an empty shell of a person. During this he is unresponsive and appears vacant. Or he goes into a complete fit of violence. Both of these are unpredictable, but there are a few things that will set him off. Being called a monster being one of them. Another being if someone touches his scar.
For the last year of his life he has lived in the orphanage. Most kids avoid him and go out of their way to stay away from him. Everyone knows he was in a mental institute, but nobody knows the reasons why. Because of this unknown factor people generally fear him. Zane has been seriously contemplating volunteering for the Games as a way to silence the voices forever.
Comments/Other:
His writing has become a sort of therapy for him. However he doesn't allow anyone to read what he writes.
