Appearance:

Saryniti is a small 18 year old standing at only 5ft 4inches but she doesn't really care about her height. Her figure is a medium build for her height with a weight of 126 pounds. Her frame is not muscular but slightly weak compared to most of the people around her. She has tanned skin that once had a smooth complexion but is now tainted with some mostly healed bruises and gashes from her time in the orphanage. She also has slightly weathered hands due to the work she does with computers on a regular basis. Saryniti is used to this body but she hates still seeing the bruises and gashes because of the memories they contain.

Hey eyes are a dark brown and people who look into them closely can see the long hidden emotion in them. She has a well proportioned face with neat, dark brown eyebrows and soft pink lips. Her hair is by far her greatest feature. She has thick, black hair with a gentle curl to it. This flows down to just below her shoulders and is always worn down with her brushing the forward part away from her face. Her figure has a slight curve and she has short legs that lead down to her feet.

The teenager has never bothered much with outfits and does not have many in her wardrobe. The one she will usually wear consists of a grass green t-shirt and a straight, black skirt that goes down to just below her knees to cover up a scar on her left kneecap. She finishes this with a pair of nice black shoes. For occasions such as public reapings her outfit of choice is a summery black and white patterned dress which stops just below her knees. At these events she will usually carry with her a small bracelet which is her last memory of her mother.

Personality:

To say Saryniti has a complex personality would be an understatement. It can depend on what mood you encounter her in how she reacts to you and the impression that you get of her. Her personality can range from chirpy teenager to an angry woman who will bring down what is in her path. With her you will never know what mood she will be in when you see her and whether you will even get a response from her. There are many things that play on her mind and although her mind has started to stabilise over the years it is stil very fragile and it takes little to alter it.

On the positive side she can be a friendly and chirpy teenager around people she can trust and will talk for a long time with those people about many things. Most of the people who see this side of her are young children, who Saryniti has a soft spot for. She feels drawn to children as she wants to make sure they don't have to go through what she did in her youth, often trying to make friends with any orphanage children she manages to see when she is at school though many are constantly off school ill. The people who see the inside of her can tell the girl inside has been frightened for a long time and needs people to reach out to that can help her continue to repair her life. She is extremely loyal to the people she trusts and will do anything to protect them from harm.

She has a natural talent with technology and specifically computers, doing frequent work with computers in her job is good for her as she can enjoy herself and focus solely on the computer and nothing else that is going on around her. The teenager is accurate and precise in her work and has been credited for it on some occasions but there are not many who truly realise her skills and appreciate them. It can be theraputic to her to restore life to the technology she works on and it gives her something she can try and be proud of.

However, her mood can change and she can show a very different personality. Saryniti can be very reclusive at times, often opting to hide out either in her bedroom at home or in her workstation when she is working. In this time it is rare she will speak to anyone, wanting to be in her own company instead of listening to others. Also, there are still many triggers that can spark her short temper, instantly transforming her into a teenager with a beastly attitude. When she feels like this she will often take her wrath out on an object or a person nearby to clear her head. She also has little confidence in herself due to her time in the orphanage where she was made to feel like she was a nobody who didn't matter. This drilled itself into her head and it has been hard for her to try and rebuild the confidence she had when she was very young and sneaking around her house.

History:

Saryniti was born on April 21st in District 3 as an only child to a loving mother. She was a fairly small baby weighing in at 7 pounds 12 ounces. She was a quiet girl who would be able to sneak around the family home for a short time without her mother spotting her. Before long she was a toddler getting into all kinds of mischief around the house and having fun every day. Although it could be difficult to control her, her mother loved her anyway and always brought her up with love and peace. They had a happy and cosy time and the scrapbooks started to fill even by the time she was 5 and ready to start school, something she was keen to do.

When she started school she developed a passion for learning and although she could get herself in mischief for being sneaky in class the teachers liked her as much as any of the others in her school and believed her to be a very bright child. She enjoyed many of the things she was taught but mostly loved to learn mathematics and anything to do with technology, which her district specialises in teaching. The young girl had managed to make friends in her class and would play with them in their breaks between classes. Her life seemed all to perfect until the walls came crashing down around her.

Saryniti's mother had never told her daughter that she had been ill for quite some time and her health had gotten no better with the passage of time, only worse. It was one day in the family home when Sarynity arrived back from school to see her mother lying on the floor with no sign of response. The frightened girl had yelled to her neighbours to help but it was already too late, illness had taken the woman. Saryniti couldn't really understand what had happened at the time and everything seemed like a whirlwind as several people came to talk to her, many of them people she recognised who wanted to give their respects but one day there were two people from the orphanage who told the girl that was where she would have to live.

Life at the orphanage in District 3 was a horrible life indeed. The orphans were fed the least amount possible to keep them from death and there were many in a single bedroom all cramped in together. Also punishment was taken very seriously and for even the most petty reasons. With these surroundings Saryniti started to lose her old, mischievous personality and become withdrawn from society. She isolated herself in fear of those around her and the power they held over her. The girl gained a short temper which would often flare even at the smallest opportunity. This often got her into trouble and she would be punished yet again. As time went by she felt like she was a prisoner in her own home and longed for rescue.

This rescue came shortly before her 10th birthday when a family came in and chose to adopt her. This family were friendly and full of love, treating her as such. At first she struggled to comprehend the difference in her lifestyle after so long in the orphanage. Her anger was still inside her even when she tried to keep it in and she always felt guilty when her temper was sparked because of how nicely her foster parents treated her. Slowly this started to disappear and she was able to keep herself calmer but the isolation still remained with her finding it hard to trust many around her. Her foster mother sparked a specific interest in computer in her and the mechanics that make them work. This gives her enjoyment and she turned out to have a talent for computer work which was noticed by the few who knew her best at the time.

It was at this stage in life when she first understood the Hunger Games as she was forced to watch it by order of the Capitol. The fear of death in the eyes of the tributes always haunted her as it reminded her of the eyes of many back in the orphanage and it would trigger even more memories of the years she spent there. It was this that gave her a dislike for the games and she always tried not to watch when a tribute was being killed and would run from the room at the sight of a body on the screen, remembering that horrific day when she was 7.

At the age of 12 she knew that it was now possible that she herself could be forced to become a tribute in the games. Even through this she signed up for tessrae for her and her foster family, proud to be giving them more to eat every day. When it came to her first reaping she stood silently in the area for the 12 year olds, looking at her foster parents uneasily. There was nowhere else she could look without seeing pure fear in the eyes of those surrounding her, the one thing she couldn't bear to see. The one thing that always brought back memories. Her nightmare didn't even end when she found it was not her who had been chosen. The two children on stage seemed to have eyes in her direction that were glistening with pure emotion. Every year since she has been on tenderhooks at the reaping but has avoided the odds herself.

Now at the age of 18 she has a part time job working with broken computers to fix them and restore life to them. It is something she enjoys and sometimes even gets sad when she has to leave work but knows she has a good place to go to afterwards. Saryniti still lives with her foster parents and they are a happy family who are there for each other. However the teenager can still be reclusive and there are still several sparks that can easily ignite her temper. If she makes it to19 without being reaped she hopes to get a full time job in computing so she can always do what she enjoys and it something she can do solo instead of working with people she will find it hard to trust.
