New Peace keeper in town[Kale]

Vicky was tired after the long train ride to get to District 12. She'd been on that damn train since the night before and it was only now just pulling up to the station. She wanted a coffee desprately but knew that she was on duty, no coffee breaks for her. I hope the people here aren't nearly as annoying as the people of district 2. I'll miss that place though, stupid job, moving me from my home district she thought. The train came to a stop and she stepped off onto the platform. Of course, no one was waiting for her, as was expected. She'd learn her way around the district eventually but for now, she consulted a small handheld device that gave her the layout of the district. The boots of her uniform clacked against the cracked pavement of the obviously underkept station as she made her way off the platform and into the actual district itself. She'd been told that District 12 was the poorest district in Panem but hearing it and actually seeing it were two entirely different things. Wow, this district is poor, this should be an interesting job she thought with a small smile.

As she approached the justice building, she was greeted by another peace keeper in uniform. She saluted him respectfully, unsure of what his rank was here and not wanting to come off as disrespectful. "Peace Keeper Vicktorya Melrose reporting for duty sir" she said, looking at him. She felt relieved at the fact that she wouldn't have to face her enemy ever again but being somewhere new made her slightly uneasy
