Endora Jackson Bio [District Four] Finished!

Endora has flaming, curly red hair and short bangs that glints like the embers of a fire when she swims or bathes, and she is easily recognizable in a crowd. The only problem with it is that it's so curly and bushy that it constantly gets tangled and it's a pain when she has to brush or comb out the huge knots. She has piercing green eyes that her father jokes could set their house on fire, because they're so bright. She has a light spray of freckles across her face, and luckily since her skin is tan from her time in the outdoors, they don't stand out too much. But Endora does get sunburned easily, as well, so most summers and springs and some winters, her skin gets dry and flaky, and she requires skin lotion most of the time. She also harbors a deep gash on her forearm from a swimming accident a few years back, but she's not too embarrassed about that, since mostly everybody knows.

She is slightly skinny, and this comes from the fact that, although most of her district do have enough to eat most days, since they're so close to the Capitol, any chubbiness she might have gained from food is erased by her swimming, which burns the carbs right away. She also trains as a Career, and that gives her a little muscular structure, as well. Endora is an average height, maybe a little taller, for her age, about 5 foot 6 and a half'', and her weight is around 115 pounds.

The clothes Endora usually wears when not at school, where she must look nice (according to her parents), and during Career training, where she has to have something practical on, are anything waterproof, beat-up, or usable for going to swim. And when she's not swimming, normally some brown leather trousers, practical boots or shoes, a T-shirt, and a green or blue wool sweater in the winter. Her one thing of value is a necklace with a single pearl strung onto a fishing cord. Her father had found the pearl when he was collecting oysters and clams for food. He had given it to Endora as a present, and she loved it, wore it every day. The weapons she prefers in Career training are a crossbow and bolts, and two long daggers. She prefers the daggers over the crossbow, but she's good with both.

Endora is the typical image of a fiery red-head. She is outgoing, strong, and fiercely loyal to all her friends and family. She stands up to anyone who she thinks is a bully or doesn't meet her standards as a good person, and stands up for her friends. Don't let her hear you call her "that screaming ember" or you're in serious trouble.

But with the strengths come the flaws, as well. She can get extremely angry at you, which shouldn't be on your agenda, or sometimes she can be lazy. One thing people can find annoying is that she'll just randomly blurt out whatever she's thinking, whether you want to hear it or not. Endora sometimes will also neglect to be sensitive to other people, so unless they speak up, she won't notice she hurt someone's feelings until she sees their reaction, and then she's sorry and apologizes. But one thing you can always count on: Endora always tells the truth. ALWAYS.

Endora has several likes and dislikes. She LOVES water, being around it, swimming in it, bathing in it, or drinking and getting food from it. She also likes nice and/or funny people, the scents of rain and bread baking, being teased by her Dad, fried fish, and although it's rare, she loves any type of sweet she can get ahold of, which has only been thrice in her life. She dislikes people who are bullies, people who think they're funny/gorgeous/great but aren't, having to go to school, having to train with other Careers, and, despite her Dad's jokes, fire, which extinguishes water. Reading is borderline for her: sometimes she dislikes it, like when they have to read about the Capitol and things about History, and sometimes she likes it, like when she reads about water animals, swimming, and funny things. Endora is a good person, overall, but sometimes she has those natural tweaks in her character.

Endora has grown up by the sea in District Four for as long as she can remember. Her family's house is fairly big, because their District is slightly more prosperous then the lower/ outlying Districts. Her Dad works in the ocean with the other men, hunting for the Capitol and District Four. She had a mother, but one day, when Endora was little, about six, her Mother went out for a swim and never returned. Some creature of the deep was suspected. Endora was sad for a long time, since she was told her mother was so much like her, but after a while, she got over it. She had her Dad and brother, after all, and although she gets the occasional sad twinge, it's not an all-out bawling fit like it used to be.

Her brother's name is Tadd Randy Jackson. He was selected during the Reaping when he was sixteen and Endora was eight, but luckily one of the more vicious Careers volunteered and he was saved. After that year's Reaping, Endora has shied away from being a Career. She still trains, as she has to, but inwardly she wishes she wasn't required to. That is one of the rare situations where Endora doesn't speak her mind as usual. If she were ever to be Reaped for the Games, she might join the Careers pack during the Games for a few days, until most of the threats were weeded out, then desert.

Her relationship with her family is normal. She looks up to her brother, who has been very protective of her ever since her mother died. They used to have sibling brawls, since they both had a temper, but after Roseline Jackson's death, that suddenly stopped. Endora loves her father, who understands her even better that Tadd. He knows how to tease her without getting her riled up, knows what she likes and dislikes, supports her when she gets in trouble for her temper at school, and is her crying shoulder. Endora was crushed when her Mother died, so she would be devastated if her Dad passed away as well. Sometimes, she has nightmares of just that occurring, and wakes up screaming, needing to be comforted by Tadd. That's the one thing she keeps secret from her Dad, because she doesn't want him feeling like it's his fault for her nightmares.

She doesn't have a boyfriend or anything of that sort yet, because she has such a strong personality most boys tend to get frightened of her. The only unafraid boys are Careers, and she would never date a Career boy in a million years. She has a fair number of friends, and eats with them at lunch at school and has swimming races with most of them. Some of them she occasionally quarrels with, because she has that temper, but they always make up in the end. None of her friends, however, have such a deep relationship or know her better like her brother and father.

Endora loves that her District is Four, because that means she can swim. She sometimes races her friends in the ocean to see how fast they can get to the Danger! sign that signifies not to go any further for the citizens safety and back. Endora wins a lot, but sometimes, her friends beat her, especially if Endora has just eaten and is full. Endora plans to be a marine animals specialist when she grows up, researching which animals could be kept alive and breeded for meat, pets, or other things, and which are threats and need to be killed. That way she can stay close to the water and follow what she wants to do.
