Melody has always had a fierce, yet sweet and gentle look about her. Her hair is dark brown, and long. It flows down her back in very perfect waves. Her eyes are a dark emeraldy hazel. The emerald color swallows most of the brown, but the small inklings of it make her eyes pop.
She is rather tall, reaching a height of 5'8, but not so tall that she towers above everyone. This height is helpful to her, considering that she can reach areas above her quite well. She is a sold weight of 125 pounds, which is enough to fill out her lanky bones, but not so much that she appears overweight. She has very bright smile causes her small dimples to appear.
Her face shape/jawline is slightly uneven and her skin fairly pale, but not from lack of time in the sunlight. She tends to be a bit of a kultz, considering one of her feet slants slightly inward. Her face is covered in tiny freckles and she despises them. She also has a tattoo on her left arm, that starts on her wrist and goes half way to her elbow, of birds flying in the same direction.
Her preferred clothing is brown leathers and tight fitting pants. She prefers dressing casually and appropriately.

Melody can be a bit shy and timid at times. She prefers the quiet aloneness over talking and being social with others. She is completely objected to it however, and will open up to certain people. Although, she has a very difficult time trusting people. If she has the need, she can be very badass. She can show someone that she is boss, and put them in their place.

She puts up a very strong exterior whether or not she is actually feeling strong. She doesn't want people to look down at her because she is weak. She is a hopeless romantic and believes she will find the perfect guy one day, and fall in love. She is willing to do anything for the few she loves, including risking her life.

She is a compassionate person, sometimes to a fault. She doesn't like to see others get hurt and she will do anything to make them okay again. She hates when people are demanding of her, and she will argue with them if they tell her to do something. She also has an aversion to metal because it shocks her.
She is a quick learner, and can pick up a skill easily if she sets her mind to it. She is also very good at hiding and getting herself out of situations she doesn't feel comfortable in. Even though isn't very trusting with people, she is always loyal to others. She tends to be a bit over emotional, and is very bad at lying to people.

Melody was raised with her parents, Gravel and Guppy. They were both very caring parents, until she turned 13. They begin to barely acknowledge her, and she was forced to survive on her own. It wasn't hard, considering her family raked in a lot of wealth. She still doesn't know the cause for sudden absence in her life, but she doesn't complain. Things have been easier since they stopped putting demands on her.

She has been visiting the waterside every weekend since she can remember. She had always met up with her secret best friend there. Nobody knew about her secret friend. They would tell each other everything, from their what happened that week, to their deepest secrets. One day, he suddenly stopped coming and she couldn't find him anywhere. She grew depressed, considering he was the only one in her life who had ever met anything to her. She had even begun to fall in love with him in the past year.

Melody has always wanted some sort of meaning in her life, something that would make her life worth something. This desire grew after her friend's disappearance. She knew how she could put this desire to rest, and that was to be reaped into the hunger games. She hadn't had time to train...but she knew her strengths were hiding, getting out of tough situations, and learning skills quickly. She didn't know if she could win, but it wouldn't matter if she didn't. She was half-alive as it was.
