Appearance:
A young man with a broad jaw and the deepest blue eyes most had ever seen. His parents often likened his eyes to whirlpools at the deepest parts of the ocean which they fished... Swirling with the deepest blues until they almost entrance you. His hair is dyed deep blue to match his eyes and is usually short and feathered.
He wears simple cloths, though he had access to better, usually just wearing a white shirt and black pants with a heavy set of fisherman's boots and a black wind-breaker. He is very muscular from his work on the boats, easily able to lift and throw 100 lbs thanks to hauling fish all day. At 5'11" he is tall and broad, his rugged features making him seem tougher than he is at heart.
He is incredibly handsome, though he has no real love interest in his home district as of yet. He is also good with a Trident, Spears, Knives and Swords. He has no experience with projectiles other than throwing knives and has a soft heart, especially for the women. You are a lot more likely to beat him with emotions than brute strength.
Personality:
Alex is a soft spoken young man. He is quiet usually and slightly reserved, but he has a work ethic that beats most. He is standoffish at first, but if you can win his trust he is a loyal friend and someone you want to have in your corner.
His heart is his weak spot. He has always wanted someone to love him. Because of his upbringing, women are his weakness. He is a little too trusting with them, but not to the point of being reckless.
His anger can get the better of him at times. Especially when he is put in a position that seems unfair. He is more than willing to shoulder his fair share of the work/burden, but when people who do not deserve what they are getting confront him, he's likely to say something he'll regret later.
History:
Alex was Orphaned at an early age. His mother died in childbirth and his father was swept off of a fishing vessel during a nasty storm when he was only five years old. Being taken in by a man who fished with his father, he was raised on a boat.
Learning the ins and outs of fishing from that tender young age, he has become exceptional with making nets, tying knots, using knives, spears and tridents... and even learning some sword play as he trained to be a Tribute. He knew that being an Orphan, he had a lot less to loose than the others and it would only make sense for him to volunteer for the games the year he turned 17.
Now that he is seventeen, he has said good bye to his surrogate father and his family and spent his final year in intense training, learning all the survival skills and weaponry he can before he volunteers to go into the arena.
