She took her mother's hair, long and thin and wavy, and took her father's eyes, greyish blue like the sky that hung over them.

Her skin wasn't like the dark skin of her parents. Skin was light; pearl-ish and unmarked, and it smoothly & carefully wrapped around her body. Wrapped around her brittle fingers, wrapped around her bony legs and flat stomach, and served as a canvas for her eyebrows, one thicker and higher than the other.

Personality:

She'd grown up in a comfortable middle class position, where an abandoned ranch outback sculpted much of her early childhood. It was there were her parents taught her to be as selfless as possible, and to think that everyone else's needs were more important than her own.

She didn't like thinking like this but she continued to comply either way, and she made her parent's proud for as long as she could. Her siblings always remained loyal to the teachings of their parents, and continued on to marry selflessly and give more than take, but Carmen did the opposite.

History:

Carmen worked with animals for much of her childhood, working for the good of the district instead of the Raydale name. When the industry change came, things were hectic, and the Raydale family, which consisted of 5 people at the time (a mother, a father, Bryan, Violet, and Carmen), slipped deep into District 5's lower class standards. It was hard for them to remain selfless whilst barely surviving, but they tried as hard as possible.

Mom and Dad eventually found a position running one of the oil rigs and would come home with oil all over their clothes, and Carmen would dip her head down as she washed them and muttered phrases about running away, but for now she's stuck dreaming.
