Personality:
Lindsay isn't exactly the tallest girl in her district. In fact, she only stands at 5'6 which isn't very tall for what you would expect District 4 kids to be. On top of that, she's rather skinny, but you can definately tell the girl has some muscle underneath her small bodice.
Her skin is an olive color, and as you might imagine, it's tanned from being out in the hot sun fishing all day by the abundant waters. It isn't a permanent tan though, because during the autumn and winter seasons, she goes back into a normal peach-looking color.
Lindsay's hair is just as simple as simple can get. It's a darker brown color with bleached parts that look like it's blonde from being out in the sun so much. It is below her shoulder and usually pulled back in a braid.
Under dark, long lashes hides two orbs of a beautiful hazel color. Lindsay's eyes are usually always big and round with wonder. What is strange is her eyes often change with the seasons -- but it's not like that is unusual for it has been seen in humans before and is common. During some days her eyes are hazel, others they are more brown, or blue. No matter, they always have a green look to them.
So, here is a busy girl dashing around District 4 fishing and providing a way, while still looking cute -- if you will.
have you ever seen the way your dog jumps up and down excitedly whenever you walk into your house and it sees you? That is how Lindsay is sometimes, always acting excited and cheerful, but it is only an act. Deep down on the inside, Lindsay sees things like others do not. Her mind is filled with the fear of her getting picked for the Reaping and going up against other tributes, fighting for her life. Her visions are filled with nightmares of her family being killed. This is her major flaw: fear of being picked for the Hunger Games.History:
If you get to know Lindsay well, she is relatively sweet, but serious. She never takes anything lightly and is always on the lookout. The term scaredy cat could be used to describe her. She is about ready to burst out of her skins anytime the Reaping comes up, or a stream of Peacekeepers file into her district.
But don't let that misguide you from this courageous young girl. She may put on the facade of being scared, but none can fathom the great bravery stored up inside her large heart. She'd fight for anyone she loves and is not afraid to do so. There is a sort of agressiveness inside her as well, that if you push certain buttons, they can be easily unlocked.
When Lindsay has her mind set on something, nobody is talking her out of it. She's very stubborn and headstrong; no is not the answer here. She will take anything but a no, and will keep pushing until she gets her way, even if it is not the right way. Children need to learn, right?
If I had to pick four simple adjectives to describe Lindsay it would be kind, courageous, wary, and stubborn.
Lindsay was born to William and Karen Carmichael, and was the youngest of three. She had two older brothers who loved her dearly, only six and ten years older than she. The family was happy until Lindsay was only two.Codeword: odair
At two years of age, Lindsay's mother became sick was a disease that was rare and unheard of. With no cures or medicines the only thing that could be done was to watch her die a slow, painful death. Sadness was brought on the day when she was hauled out of the house and buried. The family was put under the care of William Carmichael.
For twelve years he ran the household, providing the family with the love and care that they needed. Finally, both of her brothers were able to move out of the house at the ages of nineteen.
Right as Lindsay turned fifteen, her father became sick with a disease that was curable but was not given a treatment in time. Luckily for him, her father died a quick, peaceful death.
Now, Lindsay lives with her oldest brother until she is ready to move out herself. She spends her days away from her younger neice and nephew, and often goes to the lake to think and fish.
