Kristy of District 6-Finished-

Although Kristy is quite tall at six feet, (seventy-two inches) she is very skinny, only being around a hundred and twelve pounds. Thus she is very gaunt, and often, bones are visible, jutting out under her skin. Kristy has a cream complexion which is marred by the scabs on her arms, and the cuts on her heart-shaped face. She seems to be a dirt magnet, catching filth on her arms, her face, her clothing, and even her hair cannot escape the mud. Since she only can use ice cold water to bathe, she can go for at most a week before the doctors threaten to throw her out because of hygiene and trying to keep the contamination away from their patients.

Kristiina's face when not dirty is framed by her wavy ash brown hair, which she tends to keep it around shoulder-length. Her tiny ears are almost elfish, but they work suprisingly well (she has 10/10 hearing), and is one of the only parts of her she tries to keep clean daily, due to the fact she tends to rely on her hearing almost as much as her sight. Kristy has small lips which are a pale pink in color, and perfect pearly-white teeth which is the only other thing she keeps clean due to the ease it takes to brush. But the most captivating thing about her is her green eyes, which in the sunlight look like glittering emeralds, and when they light up, the emeralds almost seem to be protecting a bright star.

Kristy, coming from a somewhat poor family has a wardrobe which rarely changes. Normal brown or black sweats, a few white t-shirts(now brown, grey and who knows what's on there), and a sweater or two. The only thing she has worth stealing is her tribute dress, and it's a simple pale yellow gown, nothing frilly or fancy. As for shoes, she has a pair of brown sandels. She also has a nurse's outfit for when she works part-time at the hospitol.

Kristiina at first seems to be the outgoing type. She is committed to whatever she does, speaks her mind, and when provoked, she tends to show it. She can be very firm with her ideas, but knows when to relent. She has a tendancy to check and double check before allowing something to pass through, a sort of habit. Some people if they don't really know her says that she can be even a leader.

This for the better or worse, isn't really her true personality. Kristy is kind and compassionate, especially with her younger brother, often giving him an occasional sweet even though tough times are about them. When in a matter not that important, she often slinks away letting the opposing thought win. The only reason she tries to appear tough is that nobody will attempt to cheat her out of her work or money because she is weak. She learned this in her first job, and once she learned that they swindled her out of her rightful due, she quit and started again as a nurse.

Kristiina is quite smart and perceptive, allowing her to see things and realize things in a different way than others can see them. Not only is she a quick thinker, she is also quick on her feet, being one of the fastest sprinters. But even though she is a fast sprinter, she cannot do endurance runs, either running to fast and becoming exausted, or running to slow. Kristy is very good at loogh example and can realize strategies by looking. She is also a decent medic, learning at work. Kristiina secretly loves to sing, and does it when nobody's around. When the mockingjays are around, they fall silent, then repeat the tune she sings which is one of the few things that make her truly happy nowadays.

Even though she tries to be a good person, nobody is perfect and everybody has flaws. One of her major vices is that she is a perfectionist, and if something goes to out of plan she tends to try to correct it before anybody notices. While her fear is that she will do something wrong and cause somebody to die, or use the wrong medicine. She is also afraid if her brother is going to be drafted into the Hunger Games, starting next year to be exact. Her final vice one of the smallest, is that she can hold a grudge for a long time, like the grudge she holds for the man who swindled her, and her family of the money she could have gotten.

Kristiina was born to a teacher mother, and a doctor father. Together they at first made not enough to be very rich, but just enough to live comfortablely for a while. When she was three, she had a baby brother, but for a while she didn't understand why he needed to be there. Finally at the age of four, she slowly understood and adored her younger brother. It seemed like the peace would have never ended.

Yet when she was in kindergarten, her father came back, with a face, as white as paper. He had lost his job, and that was the job that brought the most income into the family. Kristiina suddenly had to move to a different house and lose much of what they had owned, for no apparent reason. But somehow, the pale defeated face of her father burned itself into her memory forever. Even though she didn't understand, Kristy went along with it, trusting her parents to this unknown future.

By second grade, she understood much more than what she was hoping for. Her mother, came home tired, stress lines crossing her once beautiful face. Her father, began to drink his stress away, using much of their limited money on alcohol. He got drunk often, and would experience vast mood changes, often hitting Kristy and her brother. But there was little she could do but either grab her brother's hand and run into their room, or stand and accept the blows.

Once she was in fifth grade, she started trying to get a job, but this was not easy due to the fact that she was underaged and nobody will hire a ten or eleven year old. But luckily even then she was quite tall, and managed to get a part time job filing papers. It was quite difficult work, and often she would have to go back to something she thought was finished and add or take out. On top of that, he paid her less than he was supposed to. She found out when she was 12 and quit the job.

Since she was now about the right age to appy for a small job, she soon got a part-time job as a nurse, and enjoyed it much more than the filing that she had to do earlier. But this time, she made it clear that she wasn't going to be swindled a second time. She worked hard, but when somebody asked her to do something that she didn't want to do, like cut her wages while making her work longer, she got the ability to say no. Eventually Kristy was respected and they let her keep her wages, and she is this way now.
