UM SO UHH.History:
I DON'T REALLY GO OUT MUCH, AND WHEN I DO I HAVE TO BE CAREFUL WITH MYSELF BECAUSE I'M NOT A GOOD MAN, NOT AT ALL. I'M AN ADDICT AND THAT'S BAD, VERY BAD. I hate myself for it, quite a lot. WHEN I WAS YOUNG I LOST MY MOTHER AND FATHER TO CRIME WARS, and that hurt a lot. SO I STOPPED GOING OUT MUCH, ESPECIALLY BECAUSE I COULDN'T STOP ACHING FOR SOMETHING I COULDN'T HAVE. To defeat these hungers, I have little exercises, such as, setting up hundreds of dominoes and then instead of knocking them over, taking them all back down. I LIKE THINGS TO BE TIDY AS WELL, BECAUSE I CAN'T STAND UGLINESS. I feel guilty quite a bit, so I suppose I brood a lot, but I don't mean too, it's just hard you know, running a whole crime organization by yourself.
Nero is a butthead.
Xanthus Nefarious Grimm, has always been a bit of trouble. Of course, his cousins aren't exactly model students, but he's always been the weird one. When he was very young, he developed two things: Renfeild's Disease, and a conscience. It happened only because of one person, that being his mother. He never knew his real mother, she had simply been a donor. The woman who raised him was Titania Fletcher. It wasn't proper for a lady of such high society to go threw the ugliness of child berth, so he had been carried for nine months inside another woman.Codeword: o blah dee, o bla dair
Titania Fletcher was good, and proper. She wanted her son to be good and proper too. The Fletchers, were a family of tradition and longing for a past they couldn't have. They lived in a pretend world, where the women wore their corsets so tight they couldn't breath, and the men dealt with any problem so they wouldn't have to. Titania, was not an exception, although when she married Xanthus' father, she seemed to relax on most of the rules. Her son would learn which forks were meant for what, and how to treat a lady with due respect, but his father would not have him in those silly suits. Xanthus was to wear what he liked.
In response, his style grew into a hybrid of the Fletcher's traditional wear and today's modern garb. Coat tails and frills were a thing of the past, but Xanthus found that he couldn't part from double-rowed buttons or the comfort of wearing at least three layers. So from his mother, her got her traditional views, and from his father, he inherited a world of crimes. Corbet Grimm, was not as smart as his brothers, never had been, probably never would be. If there was one thing he knew though, it was how to run people. He could twist a man around his pinky while reading the morning paper. Titania of course, did not approve.
From his mother, Xanthus got his conscience, yes, but from his mother, Xanthus got his disease. As with anything that is not altogether legal, there is a fine balance that one must walk one. Teeter too far to either side and you were history. One night, Corbet teetered too far, and as a result blood spattered the family's walls that night. Xanthus had been with his mother when the woman came in to slit her throat open. He couldn't do anything, he was only a kid. He didn't even understand what happened until his mother painted him red with a spray of blood. Desperately, he tried to contain it, pressing down on the flow of it. When that didn't help, he tried to kiss it better, to stop the wound from hurting, because it always helped when his mother did it to him. He got blood all over his lips, and some in his mouth even.
While Xanthus tried to stop his mother bleeding out all over the floor, his father was trying to keep the men who had come along from trying to cut out his tongue. To no avail, of course. He was dead within the hour from the blood loss. Xanthus was orphaned at the tender age of eleven, heir to a fortune so huge, it dwarfed even Titania's family's old money. Left alone in that big old house, there wasn't much for the young man to do but brood. With every passing day, he became angrier and angrier. The thought of his mother's blood made his stomach turn, but not in sickness, more in an urgency. In that moment, he had felt her life force inside of him, and Xanthus, didn't want that. He didn't want someone to be able to come along, and take his.
He needed more of it, more life.
