River Riley District 4

River is one of girls what can eat what she wants but is still skinny as she has an impossibly fast metabolism. However she is no one’s definition of pretty or beautiful; she has thick, messy, pure white hair which her Mother has been dying that colour ever since she was two. River also has a scar on her chin as when she is swimming; she swims right to the bottom and regularly cuts her chin on whatever in lying there.

Nevertheless River only has two physical features she honestly and truly likes about herself; and they are her eyes and her tattoo. River's are blue, but not a dark blue but also not a light blue; it seems the colour came and blended together to get a colour that matched the sea near District 4 so perfectly. Her sister used to tell River it's almost as if she has sea in her iris. River also loves the tattoo of angel wings that spread out on her shoulder blades. The tattoo is in honor of her older sister and not just a fashion craze that most people in District 4 think. River normally likes to wear her bikini so she can go swimming any time; underneath some black jeans and a tank top to show her tattoo to the world.

River is keeps to herself most of the time, because if she let strong opinion on everything, be heard she probably would be in big trouble with the Peacekeepers. Because of her 'biting her tongue' attitude most people believe she is just a quiet girl that you can easily walk over, but that is not the case. Push River past the line and she will unleash the monster of anger and frustration that builds up inside her on you; mostly telling you what she thinks of you and even hurting you until someone pulls her off.

River absolutely hates the monster side of the and always swims deep underwater just to calm herself down afterwards and to regret what she has done and how she has acted. So most of the time she uses her speed and stealth to do something in secret to apologise to the person she's hurt.

River is quite smart but when is comes to school work she doesn't always do the work to her full potential. River motto is 'If you don't have a passion for something, why bother doing it in the first place'. Her passions being swimming and strangely enough astronomy.

River lives with her Mother and Father in a 3 bedroom house which is common in District 4. Her Mother and Father own a reasonably successful fishing company therefore River always has food on the table.

River's childhood was in her eyes was the happiest years of her life; however that all changed when her older sister, Rain Pisces Riley, died after protesting against the Capital and the Hunger Games. After that day River has secretly hated the Capital, even if she never says it out loud. With the tattoo on her back in honor of her sister, River will never forget what her sister stood for and will try to let everyone see the world though her eyes; but only when the time is right and when she knows the whole world will be listening.

Because of her views, school is a struggle with its pro-capital propaganda and teachings of being a career. However some aspects of this can be good as River can handle any weapon but she prefers either a bow and arrows or a sword.
