Appearance:
I consider myself a pretty decent-looking person. I don't mean to say I'm drop-dead gorgeous, but if so many people tell you your pretty, it has to be at least a bit true. My height's pretty average, 5' 6", and I'm on the skinnier side with about 115 lbs on me. I'm a bit pale for spending all day in the sun, and, despite the labor, I don't have much muscle. I like to think that my speed and nimbleness make up for it, though.Personality:
I have long, wavy, medium-brown hair that parts on the side. My face and features are slightly angular, and many say I resemble a nymph or an elf. I have long, dark, eyelashes, and thin, light-brown eyebrows. I have a small mouth and tend to bite my lip when I get nervous. But in my opinion, my best features are my eyes, which are a dark wooden brown. My worst feauture has got to be an ugly silver tooth I have at the corner of my mouth, they say my smile can scare someone to death...
They say curiosity killed the cat, but if that's true, I wouldn't be standing here today. I'm always peering around corners, searching for secrets and the unknown. I guess I think someday I'll find something important, something life-changing. But I never do. Anyways, I'm an adventurer at heart, and I love trying new, dangerous, things just for the fun of it.History:
To be honest, sometimes I actually wish I was part of the bloody massacre the Capitol calls the Hunger Games. Even if I died the very first day, I would have truly felt alive for those measly sixty seconds before I was torn to shreds. It's not a bad way to die, and I would be sparing somebody else's life from my district in the process. Then again, maybe I should give the spot to someone who actually has a chance of winning.
When it comes to brains, I'm one of the smartest in town. When I'm not doing chores or running and riding around town in search of some adventure, I'm reading, learning about everything there is to learn about this world. I have plenty of cunning and tact, and it doesn't take long for me to twist situations in my favor. At the same time, I'm not afraid to say exactly what I'm thinking, which has gotten me into trouble more than a couple times. I'm not one to be angered easily, but when I am, start running, because all hell's about to break loose.
There was nothing unusual about my childhood. I was born and raised on an ordinary farm, relatively close to the center of town. My family's lived in this house since my great-great-granddaddy built it from the charred remains of what stood here before the revolution. Before then stood one of the bunkers for District 10, but obviously it wasn't that a great of a bunker, as it was quickly blown to pieces. At least, thats what Ma and Pa say happened.Codeword: odair
I work on Ma and Pa's farm. I love all the little critters we own. We make our money from selling milk, meat and eggs from our farm. When I was a little girl I use to help herd the cattle with my Pa to the field so they could graze on grass. A cow would occasionally wonder off so Pa would always bring the lassos. Sometimes, I got to get the stray cow!
Ma says my great-great-granddaddy came from District 9 cause he wanted to take care of critters too. Ma always told me stories about how he got here. She says that these stories have been passed down in our family because great-great-granddaddy's trip wasn't easy. I was surprised he was even brave enough to do so! I'm happy he did, otherwise I'd be in District 9 right now, and I wouldn't get to know any of my critter friends.
