Stop crying can't you see the look in my eye
Stop asking you know all the reasons why
Stop asking you know all the reasons why
Thinks
The voice in her head
Somone else says
Says
Does
Why does he always insist that he's my boyfriend Saphire thought irritably as Gordy swaggered over and put an arm around her. She wanted so much to push his arm away and sprint away, anywhere he wouldn't find her. She was so sick of him and his abusive ways. She had the bruises to prove that he beat her if she wasn't good and a few scars from him. Her parents didn't know about any of them because she'd been too afraid to tell them, worried that Gordy would hurt her more. They walked close together, she could feel his breath on her hair and she hated it. I just wish he'd leave me the fuck alone she thought, looking up at him. His ice blue eyes weren't quite right when he looked at her, there was something mean and heartless about the gaze and she felt new fear come over her. "So, babe, what shall we do today?" he asked, his breath smelled like cigarette smoke. She cringed. "I don't know, maybe we could do something that's individual" she said, trying to get away from him. No such luck. He gave her a look that said You won't get away from me that easily and it made her shiver. They walked together towards the training center hand in hand.[/i] Do you really think that will work? She wondered. Emmy was silent for a few moments before she spoke up again. Yes, if you two break up publicly, he won’t be able to do anything to you anymore she said. Saphire smiled, looking around the washroom stall. I think for once I’m glad I’m not alone in this. Thank you Emmy she thought before leaving the bathroom stall and ready to face Gordy.
As they practiced she finally managed to get away from him, it took a bit of time but she managed it. She went into the washroom, the one place he wouldn’t be allowed in, and locked herself in one of the stalls. Now, Saph, we have to think of a way to shake him for good the voice in her head said. She nodded, for once in complete agreement with the voice. It was sometimes a nuisance to have another voice in her head but over time she’d gotten used to it and now found comfort in it sometimes. The voice didn’t really have a name but she decided to give it a name. do you mind if I give you a name? she asked the voice silently. Whatever helps us become one the voice said. She smiled, thinking about a suitable name for the voice that was usually pestering her in her head. Suddenly, she knew exactly what to call her. I’m gonna call you Emmy, because it’s short for Emily. Do you like it? she asked the voice. I’ll be Emmy then. She sighed in relief, glad that was over. Now that I have a name, we should get back to the issue at hand, what to do about Gordy Saph nodded. It was nice having someone to talk to even if they weren’t real. got any suggestions? You could publicly break up with him, then he’d have to leave you alone.
She found him sparring with one of the instructors and waited for him to be done. When he was, he smiled at her and threw an arm around her. This time though, Saphire didn’t shy away from breaking free. ”No, Gordy, I’m done with you. All you do is you treat me like shit and act like you’re so much better than me, plus you beat me and are cruel to me. Our relationship is over.” she said, glaring at him. Suddenly, she felt a sharp pain in her face as he slapped her. She stumbled back. ”What did you just say?” He yelled at her. She met his ice blue eyes squarely and answered him. ”I said, I’m breaking up with you, deal with it.” She said coldly. He tried to slap her again but she kicked his feet out from under him and he landed hard on the floor. She felt a hand on her back and turned to see her Ex-boy-friend, Mason Redwood, and he nodded to her. ”He’s not worth it” he said. She nodded, looking down at Gordy, he’d gotten to his feet and was glaring at her. ”Mark my words, Saphire Butterfly, you are going to regret the day you broke up with me” he threatened as he stalked away. She turned to Mason and smiled. ”Thank you,” she said. He nodded. ”Even though we’re exes I’ll still be here for you okay, Saph? “ He said, smiling at her like he used to when they were still dating. She grinned. ”I never want to see him again, he was abusive.” she said. He nodded, the smile fading from his face. ”I’ll make him pay for it, Saph, I promise” He said. She nodded, knowing that she would never again be beaten by Gordy or have to prove herself to anyone, she was free to be her own person, not a person someone else wanted her to be.
