Hinder Black District 6

Hinder was always tall for his age, currently at 6'3", and with his height came an unusual thinness. He weighed 170 pounds but he was still the thinnest in his family, granted a good portion of his weigh was his muscle, it didn't stop people from thinking Hinder was all skin and bones. It didn't help that his skin was very pale. He would spend all day outside helping his family with yard work and spending time with his friends but his skin never became darker than a pale pink.

His skin gave his black hair a more striking appearance than it rightfully should. His hair stuck out in the front and he had a cowlick on the back of his head, but other than that his hair fell perfectly flat. There was nothing very special about his face. A long pointed chin, fairly average lip shape, a long slightly upturned nose, and dark brown eyes that were always moving giving Hinder a nervous appearance.

Hinder prefers keeping to himself in school and has never been one to socialize. When he did socialize he usually only spoke in brief sentences or movements of his head. Few people can coax a conversation out of Hinder, but when they are able they are surprised by how much he notices.

Hinder always watches, always listens, and never really forgets. He is always thinking and doesn't allow his brain to rest. Sleeping is a big challenge for him because he is always considering what his life will bring him.

People assume Hinder is dumb because he never tries in school and rarely does anything mentally stimulating. However, Hinder thinks in a very logical way that keeps him from making huge mistakes, this logical thinking gives him a cold demeanor towards most.

Hinder's parents married at a young age and both worked as medical advisers in factories along district 6. After a few years of marriage Hinder was born, quickly followed by two younger sisters, Mara and Frany. Hinder always thought of his sisters as pains and tried his best to avoid them at home and school. The only member of his family that he enjoyed was his aunt Esther.

His aunt Esther was the only person Hinder could relate to. His father though like Hinder did, but was quite garrulous. his mother was quiet like Hinder, but she was incredibly smart and was rarely wrong. His aunt lived alone and Hinder spent years of his life in her home with her. They never did much except sit together and think, occasionally some sort of philosophical debate would occur and Hinder was always shocked at how quickly his aunt would think of counter arguments and make Hinder flustered. She is part of the reason he thinks so logically, he wanted to be like her.

School was never Hinder's favorite place and other boy's would pick on him for his size. Since Hinder never reacted to their taunts they would always become bored and move onto a different target. Hinder would catch a few girls giggling as he walked by but he never thought much of it. He considered girls the biggest waste of time.

Watching the Hunger Games was something Hinder actually enjoyed. He didn't like the needless death, but it was one of his favorite sources of speculation. Trying to guess tributes patterns and their strategies helped keep Hinder sharp and after so many years he can actually pick out which tributes will make it far and which will probably die int he blood bath. Secretly he would always root for the smallest tributes and he was always impressed with tributes who outsmarted bigger foes.
