The Anthem - Day 6

Due to the thick fog that coats the arena, it is nearly impossible to tell when the arena begins to darken, but once night falls it is entirely noticeable, as any semblance of visibility declines to nothing without the few tendrils of sunlight penetrating the fog. The sound of arrogant trumpets takes hold, and the arena is briefly lit up by the incandescent seal of the Capitol as the anthem begins to play. The faces of the dead begin to display, one after another, the grim visages of the tributes whose cannons have already been fired.

It is not difficult to count that under one third of the tributes are left, and with three more dead yesterday, there are only seven tributes remaining in the arena — only six still standing between you and your crown.

As the anthem ends, the final image fades, once more leaving the sky lifeless.
