Vasily Milanich D5

Vasily Milanich is a taller young man. He looks to be about 5' 11', but hasn't cared to measure himself in years. He also has a more lanky build, not because of underfeeding, but lean muscle makes up his form.
Vasily is very blonde, and keeps his hair at a moderate length, just above his eyes. His hair has a thick texture. Below Vaz's hair, he has bright, icy blue eyes, that are almost gray. Vaz has a strong squared chin, and slightly tanned skin. Vaz usually has a little stubble, for shaving equipment is often unavailable to him. He is hardly a dirty person though, and makes it his business to attempt cleanliness.

Vaz is often quite verbal, but has been known to be quite silent, unresponsive, and hermetic. Vaz enjoys the company of other people, however. He has a sense of humor, whether it is great, dark, or bad, those "other people" are left to decide.

Vaz can be very dark sometimes, and is often internally conflicting. (Hence his silence, more like a refusal to express) Vaz is an amazing soldier, and has seen horrible Atrocities, with a capital "A". Vaz actually admires peacekeepers, but is conflicted as to whether or not to join them.

Vaz values cleanliness and general manners. Although, he can be a very Gung Ho, drinker-like man. Vaz is not easily scared or hindered, but is on the quicker side to anger, and, though less so, quick to rash actions.

Vaz did not originate in Panem, or North America, but in fact, overseas, in present day Russia, where a tiny, but advanced settlement is nestled, much like Panem. Vaz was a soldier, and more specifically, a pilot. Vaz's father was killed in warfare by another settlement when Vasily was 3. His mother met a similar fate, when Vasily was 14. Vasily was left to care for his younger brother, Misha.
When Vasily was 15 and his brother 12, Anarchic wars broke out in their settlement, and the Milanichs fled.

Both brothers walked for days, and came across a tiny port. Vasily hijacked a boat and held the crew at gunpoint. Eventually, he killed them all, and piloted the boat to the North American Continent. The brothers landed in the wilderness. Once again they set out on foot, and looked for civilization.
Along the way, Misha was murdered by a band of wandering thugs, Vaz caught one, and learned of Panem, an that District Twelve was very near. He killed the man, using up the remaining ammunition for his firearm.

He arrived at District 12, and found a hole in the fencing. (Deja Vu?) He entered, and stayed in an abandoned hut for nearly a year. He had learned enough from the townspeople of 12, that Panem was suppressed, and the best place for him to find work would be district 5. He traversed the wilderness alone, and came across 5. A section of the fence, miraculously, was completely toppled. He entered.

He is now 17 and works in a Geothermal refinery for a little over minimum wage for the job.
Vaz considers the job of peacekeeper, and hopes to stay out of the Games.
