The Anthem - Day 8

Due to the thick fog that coats the arena, it is nearly impossible to tell when the arena begins to darken, but once night falls it is entirely noticeable, as any semblance of visibility declines to nothing without the few tendrils of sunlight penetrating the fog. The sound of arrogant trumpets takes hold, and the arena is briefly lit up by the incandescent seal of the Capitol as the anthem begins to play. The faces of the dead begin to display, one after another, the grim visages of the tributes whose cannons have already been fired.Xanthus Grimm, District One

You do not even need to count the dead; the ever-dwindling number of remaining tributes has been etched in your brain as of late. After all, there are only two living souls in the arena — and only one remaining in the way of you and your crown. You have made it to the end.
As the anthem ends, the final image fades, once more leaving the sky as lifeless as your fallen comrades.
Congratulations on surviving Day Seven, Tributes!
